The Windows 10X operating system was developed by Microsoft for the upcoming foldable tablet Surface Duo and other portable devices with two screens. If you want to try Windows 10X before the official launch of Surface Duo in 2021, you can do it with the help of the official Microsoft emulator.
This is mainly for application developers, so they can already work hard on software optimized for Surface Duo. Since Microsoft Emulator and Windows 10X are provided for free, you can also test this new Windows version on your home computer without any problems. Before actually taking action, you should carefully review the system requirements.
The Windows 10X emulator can only run on Windows 10 Pro with build number 19555, and since April 2020, it is necessary to participate in the Windows Insider program with a so-called "fast track". After the release of the spring 2020 update, the so-called "slow channel" will be sufficient.
