Without a doubt, The Ascent is one of those games that do not usually go unnoticed at first glance. In this case, the first thing that catches the eye of the Neon Giant game is its quirky artistic section cyberpunk ornate with cables and neon lights. It was presented in the last Inside Xbox dedicated to third party games on the Xbox Series X with a trailer that already showed part of its gameplay, now It is displayed again on the move in a new 12-minute gameplay.
Although at first it might seem like some kind of tactical game, The Ascent is a shooter action RPG with isometric view that ben could remind us of the classics of the genre like Diablo in its handling, only here we change the sword and shield for futuristic firearms. As can be seen, there will be plenty of shooter-type action to destroy dozens of enemies, but without any doubt, the most striking thing about this game, is still its artistic and visual section. It's really impressive, with lots of detail and effects that create a sordid cyberpunk vibe. Check out this 12-minute gameplay, courtesy of IGN.
The Ascent still has a few months of development ahead of it to improve the outcome of this first gameplay of the pre-alpha version of the game. Its launch is scheduled for the end of 2020 on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X, which could be cheaper than expected.
