ASUS has just announced its latest Single Board Computer or SBC model. It was first presented at Computex 2019.
6 arm cores with large structures.LITTLE
Among its specifications we find the Rockchip RK3399 Pro, which has six Armor corridors with large Cortex A72 cores at 1.8 GHz and four low power Cortex A53 cores at 1.4 GHz It has 3 TOPS performance with double last-minute input and pins, by design to avoid overheating and operates at various temperatures between 12 and 19 V.
In the graph section we find in the computed SOC a GPU Mali T860 MP4 by the operation of 800 MHz not one Rockchip NPU dedicated. In the memory section we find that SBC includes 4 GB of dual-core LPDDR4 RAM and 2 GB of additional NPU LPDDR3 RAM.
Combined in the same SBC we get 16 GB of light storage in the MMC but includes a MicroSD card reader so that we can extend this load to those who don't have enough capacity because they want to use it as a device or storage device.
In the port section we get three image output which includes DP over USB Type C. This same port works on USB 3.2 Gen 1 and supports OTG and three USB 3.2 Type1 A USB ports.
Powerful graphics with dedicated memory and NPU
In the connection phase comes the Gigabit Ethernet connection with an M.2 mod that supports Wi-Fi 802.11 ac and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. It also includes an additional PCIe slot to be able to add an LTE module if its use is required for mobile data use.
The board comes in 100 x 72mm sizes and has a 40-pin headset supporting up to 28-pin GPIO, SPI, I2C, UART, PWM, PCM / 12S, and S / PDIF TX.
Tinker Edge R comes with open source kernel support that supports many APIs, including OpenGL, Vulkan, OpenCL, OpenVX, AndroidNN from Google and Caffe and Caffe2 from Facebook.
ASUS also provides a API and SDK for the use of automated learning models for all types of applications.
It also provides your tool OS Flash Tool It makes it very easy to integrate or update a new or different EMMC memory system integrated so we don't have any headache to use, currently with Linux.
The available ASUS Tinker Edge R Operating Systems will be Debian 9 «Stretch» with Android 8.1 Oreo even though it is not currently available but is expected by the end of 2020. It is currently not available for purchase in Spain but will be available soon.
