Telltale’s story is perhaps one of the saddest in recent years when it comes to the world of video games. The study that brought us a video game saga as beloved as The walking deadas well as the mythical The Wolf Among Us and a good handful of adaptations of different IPs from the entertainment world closed their doors a while ago. Their licenses were distributed, but the most important of all remained in the hands of Skybound, the company of the original creator of the Walking Dead comics.
To end what was left of development, Skybound Games was created and the necessary strokes were given to launch the last episodes. Now, with the license in his hands and with the story of Clementine told, Skybound confirms that there is no plan to make a fifth season of The Walking Dead game.
Telltale always sold the fourth season of The Walking Dead, in fact the name of that season is “Final Season”. Even so, the fact of passing into the hands of another company can always incite fans to think that they will want to stretch the gum in any way. Something that from Skybound they discard, as they count in GamingBolt.
Thank you to the fans who have reached out in recent days! While we wholeheartedly appreciate your enthusiasm for Telltale’s TWD, we currently have no plans for a Season 5.

The Tweet from the official Skybound account makes it clear, there are no plans at the moment. Maybe in the future? Only time will tell.
