The Pokémon website has recently shared that the Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield International Challenge Online Tournament May 2020. Once again this tournament will test us with the official fighting format and our objective will be to try to make a place for ourselves in the Pokémon Players Cup.

This is the message they have shared:

The International Challenge of May 2020 has already started in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, and the best players in the Master category of each qualifying zone will be able to participate in the Pokémon Players Cup. Do not forget that in this Online Tournament, unlike What happens in live competitions, there are only two categories: Junior and Master. Players born on or after January 1, 2005 will belong to the Junior category, and those born on or before December 31, 2004, to the Master category. This competition is governed by the same regulations that are being used in the Video Game Championships format.

You’ll need to link your Pokémon Trainer Club account with your Nintendo account before the event starts in order to qualify for the Pokémon Players Cup. Find out how to link your accounts here. Registered players can fight up to 15 times per day. The competition will end on Sunday May 24, 2020 at 23:59 (UTC).

Players who complete at least one match in the International Challenge in May 2020 and have linked their accounts will be able to get a great Ultra Ball motif shirt for their game. As you hear it! You’ll be able to spruce up your character with a t-shirt from everyone’s favorite Poké Balls dealer.

You will be able to get your gift when the classification has been announced. In order to receive it, you have to complete at least one match of the May 2020 International Challenge and follow these steps:

  1. Start your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game.
  2. Select Mystery Gift.
  3. Select Receive awards from the Combat Stadium.

Players who experience a high number of disconnections during battles, from the moment an opponent is assigned to them until the results of the match have been sent to the server, could receive penalties and their participation in online events to be held in the future. A stable internet connection is required.

Good luck with this Online Tournament!
