What is EA Access, how much does it cost and what does it include

EA Access is a subscription service available on Xbox One and PS4 that gives us Free access to a catalog of around 80 games (between titles and DLC included) developed by Electronic Arts studios, such as Bioware, Maxis, EA Sports or DICE. In addition, subscribers have the right to enjoy EA's latest releases several days before its release, a premium access that allows us to try it for 10 hours of play before it reaches stores.

EA Access subscription costs € 3.99 per month or € 24.99 per year if we decide on an annual subscription. With the subscription service, EA also offers discounts on the purchase of games, expansions and accessories. The base discount is 10%, but can be extended on special occasions.

To enjoy it we must download the EA Access application, available in the Xbox and PlayStation digital stores. It is not necessary to have an active subscription to PS Plus or Xbox Live Gold to enjoy EA Access, although it will be necessary to use the multiplayer features of the games that require it.

Available EA Access platforms and differences

Although EA Access has been available on Xbox One for some years now, It was not until 2019 when the service was also extended to PS4. In addition, there is a specific subscription service for PC called Origin Access, very similar in features to EA Access.

The main EA Access differences between PS4 and Xbox One is that in the console of Microsoft we are given via retrocompatibility some games of the previous generation (Xbox 360), with sagas such as Dead Space, Mass Effect, SSX or Skate, not available on PS4, in addition to some exclusive DLCs.
