Things seem to be a little more complicated than expected from Codemasters. A little less than a month after announcing the postponement of the release of DiRT 5 for a few days, the British publisher has just announced that his game will finally be released even later than that.
Codemasters has just announced that DiRT 5 will finally not be released on October 16 but on November 6 on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The PS5 and Xbox Series X versions are still scheduled for the end of this year.
In a press release released at the same time as the announcement of this postponement made on DiRT’s Twitter account, Codemasters explains that this new postponement is intended to bring the release of DiRT 5 on current machines closer to that on PS5 and Xbox Series X (the version Stadia is still scheduled for early next year).
For the more impatient, the publisher promises that more information will be communicated by the release of the game in November (new cars, circuits, next-gen features, etc.). And as mentioned earlier, people who get the PS4 or Xbox One version will receive the update for free that turns the title into a PS5 or Xbox Series X game.
