Activision has published a trailer beta of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War where they review the game modes available in the test for PlayStation 4 this weekend. The video shows the same maps that were in the alpha for the Sony console, so predictably there will be no news in that regard.
The available modes will be Team Death, Domination (where you have to control areas at different points on the map), Confirmed withdrawal (like a Team Death where you have to collect the badges that enemies drop to score points) VIP Escort and Combined Arms
In VIP escort Two teams of six players participate. One such player is the VIP, who is armed with a pistol, a smoke grenade, and a UAV. His teammates must protect him until he reaches the extraction point and the opposing team must finish him off.
Combined Arms it’s a 12v12 mode that was played in the alpha in the Dominion submodality on a snowy map that, it seems, will return in the beta. Three relatively distant control points had to be captured, so it was necessary to make use of the vehicles scattered around the map like snowmobiles, quads and other machinery.
The beta dates on PS4, Xbox One and PC
Th is weekend’s beta is exclusive to PS4 players. The days October 8 and 9
Game designer Tony Flame said on Twitter on October 2 that the beta is “an improvement over the alpha”. “I don’t think anybody notices what the team can do in a short period of time
The Black Ops Cold War Beta is quite an upgrade over the Alpha. I don't think anyone quite realizes what this team can do in a short amount of time. From new features to the core feel, nearly everything has taken leaps forward.
My favorite part tho: the new lobby music kicks it
