Following the great history of Alpha in Call of Duty on PlayStation 4, the public has another chance to hear the next generation of world war before the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on November 13th.

During the two Beta weekends, Black Ops signature fights on all standard 6v6 modes, intense VIP Escort competition, 12v12 Arms Combined car racing, and Fireteam’s brand new mode: Dirty Bomb.

Beta will include a selection of multiplayer game maps set in different parts of the world during the Cold War. Players can upgrade and rank themselves in a Beta-specificing level system where loading items, including new weapons, a secret spytech with Field Upgrades, and badass Scorestreaks, can be unlocked by leading XP.

New content will be released on both beta weekends, so be sure to stay tuned.

Open Beta Days and Times: Play Time

There are two weekends of Black Ops Cold War Beta. Each “weekend” is scheduled to begin Thursday morning at 10 a.m. PDT and end Monday morning at 10 a.m. PDT.

First weekend (October 8 – October 12): PlayStation 4 Exclusive

The first Beta weekend is exclusively for PlayStation 4 owners, and is scheduled to run from Thursday, October 8 to Monday, October 12.

Early Detection (October 8 – October 10): Only available to players pre-ordered Black Ops Cold War digitally on PS4. Pre-ordered players will be able to reload Beta from October 6 at 8 a.m. via PDT.

Open Beta (October 10 – October 12): Another Beta season is free for all PS4 owners *. If you have a PS4 and an internet connection, get ready to fight Black Ops and join during Open Beta. After the end of one weekend, Beta will remain available on the PlayStation Store so players can download before the second weekend.

Second Weekend (October 15 – October 19): PS4 Open Beta

The second Beta weekend is open to all players on PS4, and is scheduled to run from Thursday, October 15 to Monday, October 19.

What’s inside Beta

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Beta will include a combination of maps, routes, and playlists. Like the previous Betas, Black Ops Cold War Beta will also include a developmental program where players can get XP to unlock new content for their Loadout including weapons, equipment, Create-a-Class slots, and Scorestreaks (note: continuation will do do not go to the last game when it is launched).

Get the SMG Weapon 10 level level plan

All players who reach Level 10 within the Beta will receive an SMG weapons program at the launch of the Black Ops Cold War.

The weapon system is a variation of the armed family within the game, complete with its unique name and makeup variation. Weapon designs can also come equipped with attachments, allowing you to use them on that specific weapon without needing measurement to unlock the physical attachment. These attachments can be changed to allow other attachments obtained by standard weapon measurement.

As stated in the schedule, digital pre-order customers will have the right to access in advance (Thursday and Friday) with their account from which they purchase the game. All other players can still access the open Beta section (Saturday to Monday) for free.
