The new Watch Dogs: Legion is of course available for the new consoles as well. It is now known with which technical key data the title will run on PS5 and Xbox Series X.
The high performance of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X naturally allows for new optical delights in games, but with regard to many titles it is not yet clear what that actually means. At least as far as Watch Dogs: Legion is concerned, there is now clarity.
Ubisoft has under one Reddit AMA namely more specific and technical information of the game announced on Xbox Series X / S and PS5. Live producer Lathieeshe Thillainathan responded to questions from players and has now confirmed that Watch Dogs: Legion will run on Xbox Series X and PS5 in 4K resolution at 30 fps. There will also be options to activate ray tracing support – the latter is not only reserved for PC gamers.
However, the employee left it open whether there might be other options for the technology. For example, it has not yet been conclusively clarified whether you can also deselect options such as ray tracing & Co. in order to make 60 fps possible.
On the Xbox platforms, Watch Dogs: Legion will support Smart Delivery, which means that buyers on Xbox One will automatically receive the game for Xbox Series X / S and can also play there. Such an upgrade program is also available from PS4 to PS5.
