The new design of PlayStation Store is already available. The visual makeover coincides with the launch in less than a month of PlayStation 5, that reach stores all over the world on November 19th and on November 12 to seven countries (Mexico, the United States, Canada, South Korea, Japan, New Zealand and Australia).
In the new PlayStation Store the colors of the machine stand out next-gen from Sony: the white and blue complemented by some hints of black. At the top of the cover is the news of the moment (currently it appears fixed FIFA 21); and immediately the Featured premieres already published or upcoming, promotions of offers such as Halloween and you can also see an icon that leads to the ps5 digital games.
Without leaving the cover yet we have a slider with the new games, a promotion of the PlayStation Now subscription service, another slider with the Titles Coming “Very Soon”, and finally, big categories like all PS4 games, all additional content, all discounts, etc.
Collections, discounts and subscriptions
Another tab at the top leads to the Collections. These are compilations made by PlayStation of the most recent releases highlights of the month, of the best games recent independents, of the titles essential from PS4 and PlayStation VR, and from more specific categories such as superheroes. Here you can also see a slider dedicated to latest free games and the complete catalog of the store divided by genres: horror, action, sports …
A third tab leads to the discounts; at the top are the featured offers and the most relevant promotional campaigns (currently Halloween discounts). Just below, a slider with all the games that have been cut in price.
The fourth and final tab is entirely dedicated to the subscriptions. At the moment there are not many: PlayStation Plus, PlayStation Now y EA Play, all three with a preview of what subscribers will be able to enjoy and with different subscription possibilities.
The new design of the PS Store will reach the mobile browsers on October 28. Once installed, you will not be able to buy digital games from PlayStation 3, PS Vita y PSP, so you have to go to the PS Store of these systems, although the PSP closed in 2014.
