Assassin’s Creed Valhalla seems to be off to a good start from a business perspective. Ubisoft has issued a statement to comment on the launch of the game, made on November 10 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Stadia.

Ubisoft is careful not to reveal a sales figure for the moment, but is delighted that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gathered twice as many players on the day of its launch than the previous opus, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, released in October 2018. “We are honored by the welcome from players and are extremely proud of what our teams have accomplished with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which builds on the incredible success of its predecessors (…) We are delighted to welcome players on Xbox Series and PS5 with a game that takes advantage of the power of the new consoles. It paves the way for an exciting end to the year, with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla being one of the biggest hits of this season “, commented CEO Yves Guillemot.

Assassin’s Creed Origins and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey have both exceeded ten million copies sold. Assassin’s Creed is Ubisoft’s most popular license by far, with over 155 million copies sold since its debut in 2007.
