Apple has just launched a new iOS update for all iPhone 12 users which fixes some important errors, among which we have the screen issues that some iPhone 12 mini users had experienced.
This new update to iOS 14.2.1 is now available for download, but it is exclusive to iPhone 12. The rest of the iPhone and iPad, as of yet, haven’t received any iOS updates.
What’s new in iOS 14.2.1
This new update is focused on fixing bugs that appeared on new Apple models. Specifically, iOS 14.2.1 fixes the following iPhone issues:
- Some MMS messages were not received.
- There were sound quality issues when using “Made for iPhone” headphones to listen to iPhone audio.
- Lock screen has stopped responding on iPhone 12 mini.
If you want to install this update on your iPhone 12, just go to Settings> General> Software update. It’s an update that is only 160MB in weight, so it’s focused on fixing those issues that have been found.
This is an update that you should install as soon as possible if you are an iPhone 12 user. Being an exclusive version of these, the next jump will probably be to iOS 14.3, of which we already have the second beta available.
