The Nerf hammer hit the overpowering MP5 – but what has changed since the release of Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War? So far, developer Treyarch has not issued the official patch notes. According to their own statements, the studio will submit a complete list of the changes.
In the meantime, however, this has already appeared great 1.06 update for CoD: Cold Warwhich contains around 5 GB of data on a PC. Which changes are included will probably only clarify with certainty in the patch notes. We already know at least a few small things.

Gunfight Tournament im Playlist-Browser
A special feature of Patch 1.06 for CoD Black Ops: Cold War immediately catches our eye. In the main menu of the multiplayer mode there is now a tab for a new mode that was first introduced in the predecessor CoD: Modern Warfare and was very popular: Gunfight Tournament.
In CoD: MW, several teams of two players each play against each other in a tournament format that works on the principle of final rounds at a football World Cup. So with eighth, quarter and semi-finals, in which only the winners advance.
Gunfight Tournaments was already known to be returning as part of Season 1 of Call of Duty: Cold War, which starts on December 10th. The fact that the rider is already there does not mean that it will start soon. Maybe you actually have to be patient until the start of the season.
Goodies & Nerfs
With update 1.06 for CoD: CW, the Rewards in the style of the upcoming Nuketown 84 map which you can secure yourself by logging in until December 4th. This includes a blueprint for the Hauer shotgun with some unlocked mods, as well as cosmetics like weapon tags, stickers, and emblems.
You will look in vain for new weapons, killstreaks, perks or operators in Patch 1.06. We therefore assume that Treyarch is primarily Optimizations, bug fixes and minor improvements for the live operation has integrated. It is also noticeable that some weapons, including the FFAR-1 assault rifle, have received noticeable nerfs.
Given the size of the update, it is also possible that the patch is already the upcoming Map Nuketown 84 integrated into the client, which will be officially released next Tuesday, November 24th.
