OnePlus is one of the most popular brands in Europe by Android enthusiasts. The emphasis on performance and very clean software has always been to our liking, and while its 2020 is a bit odd in terms of the direction it is taken, its top phones still generate expectations, like the upcoming OnePlus 9.
This terminal has just been revealed in its first renderings, showing a design that strongly catches our attention, being very similar to one of the big bestsellers of this year.
The OnePlus 9 Pro appears, a mobile very similar to the Galaxy S20 FE
Well-known filter OnLeaks has released the first images, in render form, of what could end up being the OnePlus 9 Pro, a mobile that aspires to be the brand’s most advanced model.
Commenting with my partner Fernando, my first expression was that of amazement regarding the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. In a world where virtually the entire front is a screen, it is true that there is less and less room for differentiation, but it is true that the rear camera module and the matte dark blue finish make confusion easy. .
In a different vein, the pictures show a curved screen similar to the OnePlus 8 Pro, a hole in the upper left corner (the main difference with Samsung). We also observe the characteristic Alert slider above the power button.
This isn’t the first time OnePlus has come under fire for following a trend as Samsung approaches. With the release of Oxygen OS 11, many users complained about the abandonment of a pure Android-like aesthetic for Samsung’s One UI likenesses.
It is still too early to know if this resemblance will be definitive, because with the absence of months for the launch the design can continue to vary, even if the leak ends up being genuine.
OnePlus explains why it wants to ditch the purity of Android
OnePlus is one of the best options in Europe if we wanted a fast mobile with pure Android aesthetics, although the company intends to ditch the latter.
