“Hitman 3” is the latest game with ray tracing, although we will wait a moment.
IO Interactive announced that it is working on upcoming ray tracing Killer 3. Unfortunately, this feature will not appear when the game is released, although it will be released later in 2021.
It is not clear whether ray tracing is only available on PCs, but the announcement was announced in a blog post discussing a partnership with Intel.
According to IO, this deal will allow developers to better optimize Hitman 3 for high-end PCs and CPUs with a large number of cores. Some examples given include the denser crowd on the Dubai level of the game, and the better destructibility of players with more than 8 core CPUs in Dartmoor.
As for ray tracing, IO does not specify exactly which part of the ray will be traced. Of course, the use of ray tracing is different as the game progresses, but the most impressive examples are usually reflections and global illumination.
Nevertheless, IO promised to provide more detailed information about the Hitman 3 PC version in the coming weeks. The developers will also reveal the next position of the game in a live broadcast later today. 6 am Pacific Time, 10 am Eastern Time, 2 pm GMT
In other news, the cloud version of Hitman 3 is about to be launched on Switch, presumably when it is released, it will allow Switch owners to stream full games to their console.
“Hitman 3” will be launched on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Stadia on January 20.
