In the early days after PlayStation 5 was announced, many developers praised the benefits of the DualSense control. Among these studios was Arkane Lyon, who is developing the intriguing action game Deathloop. The team has shared a part of what players will be able to experience with the controller.
The developers describe what the weapons will feel like when playing with the DualSense. Users will feel the bullets being inserted into the weapons and can feel the resistance of the adaptive triggers when one of them jams.
However, this session with the haptic feedback system does not end here. Arkane comments that various sensations will be transmitted to the control when it goes through different environments in Deathloop. For example, when Colt is crawling on a roof, the control will feel the slabs. Passing through a snowy field, you can feel the dense snow.
This implies that not only Sony wants to take advantage of the properties of the DualSense control for their games, but other developers take advantage of these immersive capabilities so that it does not become a forgotten gadget as it happened with the DualShock 4.
Deathloop It will be released on May 21, 2021, and will remain a PlayStation 5 exclusive for one year.
