Studio MDHR announced that the first set of Cuphead DLC (smartly named The Delicious Last Course) has been postponed to 2021.

The DLC was first announced in June 2018, with a tentative 2019 release date. However, in order to achieve “the meticulous care and quality we have been pursuing” without seeking austerity, Studio MDHR postponed the game until 2020. Now, due to the Covid-19 crisis, it has been postponed again.
“In the true Studio MDHR style, we are not satisfied that the content of the last chapter is just our best work,” said the studio in tweet. “Throughout the development process, we have been challenging ourselves to apply all the knowledge learned from making Cuphead to the quality of The Delicious Last Course animation, design and music.
“As the global pandemic affects many of our developers, it is extremely challenging for us to meet this standard. We made the difficult decision, not to compromise in response to COVID, but to postpone the release. The Delicious Last Course until we are sure it will satisfy the Cuphead community in the way we deserve.”
Then, the final DLC for the game will be launched next year-although the specific date has not yet been determined.
MDHR Studio said: “We know that many of you are waiting to return to the Merckville Islands. Our goal is to make next year’s journey a truly magical one.”
