AMC donated six bonus episodes to “The Walking Dead” Season 10. We’ll tell you all the information about the start, the plot, the trailer and the production.
“The Walking Dead“Fans had to be patient for a long time before they could finally see the final episode of season 10. As a small consolation, the US broadcaster announced AMC announced that six bonus episodes will be released before the 11th season airs.
The episodes each focus on one or a few other characters. Sometimes they play between seasons 10 and 11, but we get flashback episodes that explore the background story of Beta and Negan further.
The Walking Dead: Then the bonus episodes of season 10 start
You don’t have to wait that long until the episodes start. From the February 28, 2020 the new episodes will be broadcast on AMC. In this country we will probably see the additional episodes again as usual a day later on the pay TV broadcaster Fox.
The Walking Dead: First trailer for the bonus episodes
There is already a short trailer that gives us a first glimpse of the consequences. In this we see not only Hershel junior, but also Negan’s wife Lucille. Check out the video below and then watch if you noticed these 5 things from the trailer for the TWD bonus episodes.
The Walking Dead: That’s what each bonus episode is about
Each episode focuses on different characters. The big new storyline around the Commonwealth is largely left out. We’ll tell you the titles of the individual episodes and which characters they will be about.
- Episode 17 “Home Sweet Home”: Maggie, Daryl, Negan
- Episode 18 “Find Me”: Carol and Daryl
- Episode 19: “One More”: Gabriel and Aaron
- Episode 20: “Splinter”: Eugene, Ezekiel, Yumiko and Princess
- Episode 21: “Diverged”: Daryl and Carol
- Episode 22: “Here’s Negan”: Carol, Negan and Lucille
Especially the episodes around Daryl, Carol and Negan could please some fans. Because in episode 21 we could get a foretaste of the upcoming spin-off around Carol and Daryl.
Episode 22 finally introduces the most important woman in Negan’s life and namesake of his favorite weapon: Lucille. You can find more details about the individual episodes in our gallery below.
The Walking Dead: This is how you prepare the bonus episodes for season 11
Except for one episode, none of the bonus episodes are likely to continue the main storyline of season 10. They should just be a small encore, through which one can pick up interesting narrative threads.
Only episode 20 called “Splinter” is a bit out of line. In it we see Eugene, Ezekiel, Yumiko and Princess in captivity after they were captured by the Commonwealth soldiers.
The Walking Dead: You have to know that to produce the bonus episodes
The shooting of the bonus episodes has already started. The fact that only so few actors play in the individual episodes is of course due to the ongoing corona pandemic.
Most likely, AMC also opted for the bonus episodes in order to be able to postpone season 11 further. It is supposed to be about the Commonwealth, the largest settlement of survivors in the series to date. These crowds would be very difficult to represent under corona conditions.
