If some time ago we were talking about Telegram and the messages announced by Siri, we are now talking about WhatsApp, the application par excellence of the messaging in relation to the latest news that has reached iOS and Android: self-destruct or temporary messages.
Until now, temporary messages, self-destructing messages, were only accessible to a closed group of users, those testing the beta. Now they come for everyone who has a WhatsApp account and here we will show you how they work
They arrive for all temporary messages
The operation of this option does not hide any secrets: it is about having the power capacity send messages that will automatically disappear in a week, a time after which the message disappeared from the conversation without leaving a trace.
An option which is disabled by default and which you can activate in any conversation you have opened or that you open in WhatsApp or in a WhatsApp group if we are administrators. To activate them, all you need to do is enter the conversation where you want to use them and click on the other person’s name at the top of the screen to access the options for that chat.
Once you have entered the options, you just need to click on the option “Temporary messages” and activate them. As for the deadline, there is nothing you can do and the deadline for their disappearance will still be seven days. If we enter a conversation and the option is active, the other person has it previously enabled.
Keep in mind that this improvement this only applies to messages we send since said activation. Those we have already sent will continue to be perennial in our conversation. Also remember that if we make a backup copy of WhatsApp, the temporary messages will be saved, like all media content, which will remain on our phone even if we have deleted the message.
