of Lord of the Rings Online MMO A new presentation suggests that by 2022, the title may receive a meaningful graphic update.
According to the information provided at the investor meeting (thanks to PCGamesN), the MMORPG game appears to meet the requirements of a series of visual updates to coincide with the launch of the upcoming Amazon “Lord of the Rings” TV series.
The online publisher of “Lord of the Rings” Daybreak Game Company was mentioned in the EG7 investor briefing, indicating that the online version of “Lord of the Rings” will receive “visual and technical updates” on PC and next-generation consoles.
The presentation seemed to suggest that these updates will appear in the game, which was originally launched in 2007 and will arrive sometime in 2022.
Amazon’s upcoming show is scheduled to be released in 2021, and the show is set for the second year of Middle-earth (before the book of the same name and Peter Jackson’s movie trilogy happened)-although this is almost all we currently know about the project.
This update seems to be separate from other “Lord of the Rings” MMOs being developed by Amazon Games Studios, which also target console and PC versions.
The other title (not yet named) has nothing to do with the Amazon Original TV series.
“In the Middle-earth world depicted in the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, the game will provide fans around the world with a new, immersive gaming experience, exploring the vast world of Tolkien in an epic way,” Leyou Read from the project developed by Athlon Games.
