Apple launched a trade-in program for the iPhone 11, which was introduced in 2019.
The reason is that Apple has detected a problem with the screen on some models: although the screen of some iPhone 11s is still showing content, the touch function has stopped working.
Obviously, not all iPhone 11s have this problem, Apple said it was a “small percentage”. These are mainly devices manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020.
On Apple’s support page, you can check your iPh one 11’s serial number to see if its model is eligible for the trade-in program.
Apple explains where to find the serial number on this page. If your iPhone 11 has a display defect or is one of the series in which the problem occurs, you can ask Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider to trade in your iPhone 11 for free.

How to use the free replacement service
To obtain exchange service, you can make an appointment directly in the Apple Store, contact Apple Technical Support to use service by mail through the repair center, or consult an authorized service provider.
Please note that you need to backup your iPhone to back up your phone data before the exchange service. This way, no photos, apps, settings or other data will be lost.
Important to know: If your iPhone 11 has been affected by this display issue and you have already paid for the service, you can contact Apple for a refund.
Please note the following
Apple advises that the service may only be available in the country where the iPhone 11 was purchased. For devices in the European Economic Area, the service is available in all EEA member states.
The exchange program is valid for a maximum of two years after the retail sale of the affected devices. Please note that the standard iPhone 11 warranty coverage does not extend to this worldwide program.
