3Dconnexion SpaceMouse
This odd “mouse” is designed to stay fixed in place, and the cursor moves by moving the entire top head (blue line up). The manufacturer says it is a 3D mouse that allows you to zoom and rotate 3D drawings with ease. It has, yes, only 2 buttons.
3Dconnexion SpaceMouse Pro
A much more advanced version of the previous one is this other mouse, with palm rests and many other buttons to perform advanced functions but the basis of operation is exactly the same as the previous one. Obviously we’re not looking for a mouse that’s used for much more than 3D design, so forget to use it in games as it would, at least, be uncomfortable.
Mad Catz RAT 6+
Manufacturer Mad Catz has always been characterized by the odd designs of its products, and of course it does not have one but several mice that we could classify among the rarest on the market. An example is this RAT 6+, an optical mouse up to 12,000 DPI which itself has “standard” operation for a mouse, but whose design and adjustable moving parts make it quite rare, at least visually.
R-Go Tools Hippus Hand Mouse
Literally, the manufacturer calls this mouse a “hand shoe,” and its design is designed to fully support the hand, and even the wrist. Of course, in terms of design, it looks like they left a normal mouse on a stove and started to melt through the bottom area, right?
Trackball Ayrsjcl 1
This curious “mouse” is designed to be held in the hand, not to rest on the table. It has a trigger for the index finger and two buttons for the thumb, plus a trackball to move the cursor. Of course, if you want to press one of the two buttons above, you have to release the trackball as you have to do it with the same finger … a bit inconsistent.

It’s a little more traditional trackball, in this case it’s about resting on the table since in fact it has a rest… of the hands? It’s not a wrist rest due to its size, and the four buttons certainly seem a bit awkward in position.
Trust Verto (and other vertical mice)
We include in this list of mice with the rarest design this Trust model, but it is valid for all vertical mice. In theory, they are designed so that the posture of the wrist is much more natural and has better ergonomics; Lots of users of these say it’s true and suffer less from fatigue, but you have to admit that in terms of design they don’t look very good, really.
Apple Magic Mouse 2
Finally, we include the Apple Magic Mouse, and no one can deny that its futuristic-style, button-less curved design makes it quite odd. Of course, the Apple engineers who designed the charging port at the bottom that prevents you from using the mouse while charging its battery I imagine that now they are going to devote themselves to something else, because to say that it is absurd and unnecessary is an understatement.
