Destiny 2 A rising tide quest provides a community-focused bookend for the season of plunder.
In this quest, the Guardians of Destiny 2 collective is asked to provide treasure to rebuild and improve the Eliksni neighborhood, home to pro-humanity refugees among the Eliksni people.
Initially, quest progression required waiting for the Destiny 2 community to donate enough materials to unlock subsequent quest steps, but now all required donations are complete and the entire A Rising Tide quest can be completed.
This page explains how to end a rising tideas details of where to go to find each tour improvement spot.

How to Complete A Rising Tide in Destiny 2
A rising tide begins as soon as you visit the donation chest in the tower. The overall goal is for Guardians to donate treasure, primarily in the form of Captain’s Coins, to the Donation Vault to fund improvements to the Eliksni District.
Although the event itself is based on the entire Destiny 2 community, you will need to complete the individual quest steps yourself to progress. Initially, each stage was limited by global donation milestones, but now all of these milestones have been reached and the full quest is now available.
The steps for the A Rising Tide quest are as follows:
- Collect the Captain’s Coins
- Donate Captain’s Coins
- Visit Improvement I: Cleaning
- Visit Upgrade II: The Ether Reservoir
- Visit Improvement III: Comfort
- Improved Tour IV: Recruits
- Visit Upgrade V: Housing
- Visit Upgrade VI: Garden
- Visit Upgrade VII: Town Square
Once you have visited the final site, the quest will end and you will receive an Eliksni Quarter gift box for your efforts. This will contain a Deepsight Resonance Weapon, Eververse Engram, Bright Dust, or Glimmer.
Where to Go to Visit Eliksi District Upgrades in Destiny 2
As you complete the A Rising Tide quest, a large number of stages will require you to visit the various upgrades in the Eliknsi district. Each time you visit one, there will be a button prompt, which will complete the stage and start a bit of dialog from Mithrax, describing the upgrades.
Here are all the places to visit:
For Season of Plunder we have the Sails of the Shipstealer quest, Treasure Coordinates and Map Fragments, Cryptic Quatrains, and weapons such as Quicksilver Storm and Taipan 4FR. Meanwhile, there’s the arrival of the King’s Fall and King’s Fall challenges, as well as weapons such as Doom of Chelchis and Touch of Malice. For The Witch Queen, find out how to get Exotics including Dead Messenger and Parasite.
Although the Destiny 2 community has achieved its goal of donating enough treasure, you’re still incentivized to track your donations with some great individual rewards.
