A little ago Dragons in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and they lurk both in the sky on Hyrule’s surface and in the dark depths below, which can make them hard to find. We recommend following the dragons when they are on the surface as they are easier to spot and much easier to land with your paraglider.
As with most things in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you can approach the landing and find the Dragons any way you want. We’ve listed their general location, difficult routes, and tips for riding safely on the back of each Dragon to help you out.
Before you start hunting down one of these, we highly recommend doing the Regional Phenomena at Rito Village to get a useful ally and that you have at least two wheels full of stamina with plenty of stamina-boosting meals. stamina in your inventory.

Naydra’s location and route in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Naydra can usually be found flying Mount Lanayru And Eastern Necluda in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Naydra is a ice dragon and they can spit ice balls if you get too close to their face, so we recommend equipping them cold resistant armor
Naydra Road
This is the route taken by Naydra around the surface of Hyrule.
- Emerges from the depths of the Chasm of the Naydra Snowfield south of Mount Lanayru.
- Around Mount Lanayru.
- Walnot Mountain.
- Hateno Bay.
- Ebony Mountain.
- Meda Mountain.
- Over the quince cliffs.
- On the Bonooru booth.
- Passed the village of Kakariko.
- Descend to the depths at East Hill Chasm east of Kakariko Village.
If you explore the areas listed above and keep an eye on the sky, you’ll likely see Naydra. However, if you’re having trouble finding Naydra, it’s probably already in the depths.
Launch sites to land on Naydra
We’ve found that these are the best places you can cast Link from to land on Naydra:
Remember that the best place to jump to the top of Naydra will depend on where it is currently. You will need to judge which launch site to go to and work from there.
Location and route of Farosh in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Farosh can usually be found flying Lake Hylia And Gerudo Canyon in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Farosh is a lightning dragonwe therefore recommend remove any electrically conductive equipment. We also recommend take a few meals and shock resistant elixirs before attempting to land on the Dragon.
Farosh Road
This is the route Farosh took around the surface of Hyrule.
- Emerge from the depths in East Gerudo Chasm.
- Past Rock Show.
- Around Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower.
- Passed the Koukot plateau.
- On Mount Nabooru.
- Through the Gerudo Canyon.
- Past the starry plateau.
- Over Taobab Grassland towards Mount Faloraa.
- On Mount Faloraa towards the island of Hylia.
- Goes south of Scouts Hill.
- Penetrates deep into the hills of Baumer Chasm.
If you explore the areas listed above and keep an eye on the skies, you’ll likely see Farosh. If they cannot be found, chances are they are already in the depths.
Launch sites to land on Farosh
We’ve found that these are the best places you can cast Link from to land on Farosh:
- Panoramic tour of the Gerudo Canyon.
- Eastern Gerudo Sky Archipelago.
There aren’t too many options in the area to launch Link into the sky to land on Farosh, but if you have Tulin and a stamina-boosting meal or two, you should be able to land on the Dragon.
Dinraal location and route in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Dinrall is usually found around Eldin Mountains And deep akkala in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Dinral is a fire Dragon, and landing on it will get very hot very quickly. you will need armor and meals or elixirs that boost your Flame Guard. Heat resistance will not work for this Dragon, he must be Flame Guard if you don’t want to burn into a crisp.
Dinral Road
This is the route taken by Dinraal across the surface of Hyrule.
- Emerge from the depths in East Akkala Plains Chasm.
- Above Octorok Lake.
- Along East Akkala Beach.
- Along the north beach of Akkala.
- Around and past Akkala Ancient Tech Lab.
- Past Tummea Heights.
- Past Akkala Wilds.
- Above Skull Lake.
- Above Eldin’s flank.
- Passed the Eldin Mountains.
- On the ruins of Thyphlo.
- Penetrates the depths of the Chasm in the Drenan Highlands.
If you explore the areas listed above and keep an eye on the sky, you’ll likely find Dinraal. If they can’t be found, it’s highly likely that Dinraal is in the Depths.
Launch sites to land on Farosh
There are a few launch options for Link for this Dragon. The Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower is at the end of Dinraal’s surface road, so if you knew they were on the surface, you could walk up to the tower and get ahead of them.
Light Dragon Location and Route in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Now the Dragon of Light is probably the hardest Dragon to find in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom as its route stretches the full length of Hyrule’s surface. However, we’ve detailed all the ways you can find the Light Dragon in our Master Sword guide.
We saw the Light Dragon by pure chance during our first hours of play while exploring the Great Sky Islands. If you do manage to see this deliciously elusive creature, we recommend running to the nearest Skyview Tower to launch yourself high into the sky to give you the best starting point to land there.
