Finding Dragon Tears Locations In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will allow you to view memories of Zelda, much like the memories captured in Breath of the Wild.
Each dragon’s tear has been hidden in one of the geoglyphs that adorn the Hylian landscape of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. While the glyphs themselves are hard to miss, Dragon Tears can be quite tricky to find as you have to spot the only solid teardrop shape among the image. Due to the size of the glyphs, this often requires flying away.
Discovering every Dragon’s Tear is worth it, as it’s one of the ways to get the Master Sword. Without forgetting this sweet tradition of Zelda.
So, to help you in this quest, you will find our current Dragon Tears location and maps, which we’ve arranged in story order, for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom below. We’ve also covered geoglyph locations and how to start The Dragon’s Tears quest.
Hey! Listen! Although we have done our best to avoid spoiling the story, this guide may contain small spoilers based on your progress in Tears of the Kingdom.

You’ll find the first dragon’s tear as part of the Impa main quest and the geoglyphs in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

The easiest way to spot this Dragon’s Tear is to use the Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower to pull L ink into the sky, then glide towards the geoglyph. If, however, you prefer to be closer, you can use the building materials near the geoglyph to create your own flying machine.
Location and map of Dragon Tear 3 in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
The third Dragon Tear is located on the border between the Upland Zorana and Eldin Canyon regions of Hyrule in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
You can find the Dragon’s Tear itself just below the middle of the geoglyph at these coordinates: 1826, 0739, 0090. We found that the easiest way to reach this geoglyph was to slide down from the Eldin Canyon Skyview tower.
Location and map of Dragon Tear 4 in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
The fourth dragon’s tear can be found west of the Sahasra Slope Skyview tower in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Thanks to a collection of trees, it can be difficult to pinpoint its exact location from the sky. However, you can find the Dragon’s Tear at these coordinates: 0692, -1306, 0053.
We recommend using the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower to quickly access this Dragon’s Tear.
Tears of the Kingdom has finally arrived and our Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom walkthrough will guide you in your quest. Your adventure begins on the Great Sky Island where you will need to complete Ukouh Shrine, Gutanbac Shrine, In-Isa Shrine and Nachoyah Shrine for Link’s new abilities. This will allow you to complete the main quest To Hyrule Kingdom, find Captain Hoz, and get the Paraglider. We also have guides on how to access the sky, how to get the Archaic Tunic, how to beat the Flux Construct I, Amiibo unlocks, and how to tame horses.
Location and map of Dragon Tear 5 in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
The fifth Dragon Tear can be found on the side of a mountain east of Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Since the weather on this mountain is quite cold, we recommend making sure you can give Link some cold hardiness before trying to find him.
Luckily, the tear itself is fairly easy to reach, sitting on a ledge that you can easily reach using the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower at these coordinates: -3176, -1697, 0419.
Location and map of Dragon Tear 6 in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
The Sixth Dragon’s Tear can be found in the geoglyph on a hill in the northern Gerudo Highlands region, just northeast of Turakawak Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
You might find this dragon’s tear a bit difficult to spot, but it can be found at these coordinates: -3096, -0080, 0211.
We recommend using either the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower to descend to the geoglyph or the hot air balloon Impa brought to the glyph to get a bird’s eye view.
Location and map of Dragon Tear 7 in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
The seventh Dragon Tear is located in the Rabella Wetlands region, covering the curved beach east of Lurelin Village, in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
This dragon’s tear is on the left hilt of the sword that the geoglyph represents at these coordinates: 3323, -3567, 0005. You can easily access it by gliding from the Rabella Wetlands Skyview tower or by quickly going to one of the nearby sanctuaries.

How to start the Dragon’s Tears quest in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
To start The Dragon’s Tears quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you must first complete the Impa quest and the geoglyphs. After that, you will automatically start The Dragon’s Tear quest and need to meet Impa in the Forgotten TempleImpa in the Forgotten Temple.
The Forgotten Temple is located in the canyon of the Pikida Stonegrove area; being at the bottom of the canyon directly southeast of the Snowfield stable. We found that the easiest way to reach the temple was to slide up to its roof and then walk along said roof until you reached the front of the temple.
Once you reach the end of the roof, you need to slide down until you find the entrance roughly in the middle of the structure. If you miss the entrance to the Forgotten Temple, hot air balloons should be waiting for you at ground level.
After entering the temple, you’ll need to progress to the chamber containing the Mayausiy Shrine using your paraglider, ascension, climbing abilities, and defeating any of the Bokoblins that are giving you trouble.
Once you reach the Mayausiy Shrine, you’ll find Impa standing nearby, so take the time to talk to him.
You will now have to progress through the final chambers of the Forgotten Temple, go behind the statue of the fallen goddess to reach them and, when the time comes, jump across the map. Impa will then join you and, after a short conversation, it’s time to hunt down the geoglyphs.
