All you need to know about controlling the Warfield 1 Assault Class.
The Battlefield 1 Assault stage represents the first of many shakeups in the game system, marking the branch from previous Battlefield ratings to the now focused category, Shotgun and SMG based Focus, with some Anti-Tank functionality included.
Once merged with the Medic category, the Assault category now stands on its own with a standard, close-range playstyle that aims to be as flexible as possible. It is a military backdrop, ready for any class, and should be for those starting a battlefield especially looking for familiarity with the game.
As you can probably guess, we'll take a look at the Assault category in depth here, but when you're done make sure to check out our Medicare class guidance, support section, Scout class and Pilot, Tanker and Cavalry classes, too.

- Anti-Tank Mine
- Dynamite
- At Rocket Gun
- Anti-Tank Grenade

Assault Class techniques
The Assault division is made up of a variety of items – SMGs, guns and Dynamite proving that there are excellent anti-personnel gadgets, as well as AT mine, Rocket Gun and AT Grenade that look for performance and weapons.
That being said, there is one scenario where you will fight during an Assault match. Unlike their Light Machine Gun cousins, which gain more accuracy as you fire, SMGs quickly become more explosive when you fire.
With that in mind, you'll want to focus on getting closer to enemies when playing Assault. We've found that it works just as well as an anti-sniper class – if you can find a safer way through the cover, Assault's main weapons do a brief work of aggregated, unprepared collectors you'll find on Warfield's large maps. Likewise, it's great for claustrophobic alleyways and buildings you'll find on maps like Amiens, for example.
It is also a go-to category for cars, for obvious reasons. If you have a problem with a six-man Hard Tank sitting in a control area, for example, then plant some Dynamites or AT Mines on its way, or simply bombard it with a Rock Rock Gun, it will do wonders.
