Best Archetypes for Each Character in Metaphor ReFantazio
Here are the best archetypes for each character in Metaphor: ReFantazio:
Best archetype for the protagonist
THE The best protagonist archetype is the princewhich is a royal archetype that you unlock automatically as you progress through the story. However, you should know that you have to be pretty far along in the story to get this. Meanwhile, you can really use the protagonist to level up any skill you want, meaning most archetypes will suit them. Essentially, they’re extremely flexible, and you can use them as a vessel to get higher levels in certain things, depending on how you want to approach your adventure.
Like all royal archetypes, the Prince one costs a staggering 30,000 MAG to learn once you unlock it.
Best archetype for Strohl
THE The best archetype for Strohl is Royal Warrior which is, once again, a royal archetype. You must be a Rank 20 Samurai which is part of the Strohl Warrior tree and you must be a Rank 20 Warlord in the Bardon Commander tree, which are the max levels for both. Additionally, you need to have a high enough connection with Strohl – so it’s time to befriend him. You may want to sit down for this, Royal Warrior costs 30,000 MAG to learn.
The Royal Warrior archetype also comes with several synthesis skills, including “Peerless Stone Cutter” which gives your party an extra turn if it’s a deadly move and deals a high level of damage sharp to the target. If you master this skill, you will also get +5 to Strength.
Overall, there’s quite a bit of work to do to get this archetype. In the meantime, while you’re working on it, you can always use the Samurai archetype or the Warlord archetypes, both of which are strong in their own rights.
Best archetype for Hülkenberg
THE The best archetype for Hülkenberg is Royal Knightwhich is yet another royal archetype. To unlock it, you must be a Paladin of rank 20 in the Knights of Hulkenberg tree, then a Black Knight of rank 15 in the same tree and an Elemental Master of rank 15 in the Mage Tree of Gallica. Just like with Strohl, you need to reach a high enough Bond Rank with Hulkenberg and meet all other archetype requirements to get Royal Knight (which, let’s not forget, costs 30,000 MAG.)
Additionally, the Royal Knight archetype comes with the “Ultimate Guard” synthesis skill if you have a Knight, Healer, or Commander archetype in your party. Additionally, mastering this skill will reward you with +5 Stamina.
It might seem like a lot of work, but it’s worth it to make Hülkenberg the best it can be, but you’ll have to go through a lot of history to get to that point. So while you’re working on this one, you can use the Dark Knight archetype and the Paladin archetype for Hulkenberg – both of which are good for offensive and defensive strategies in combat.
Best archetype for Heismay
THE The best archetype for Heismay is Royal Thiefwhich (unsurprisingly) is another royal archetype – meaning you’ll need 30,000 MAG to learn it. In addition to this, you will also need to reach Dragoon rank 15 in the Neuras Gunner tree, Tycoon rank 15 in the Brigitta Merchant tree, and Ninja rank 20 in the Heismay Thief tree. Phew, that was a lot, but stick with us – you also, just like with Strohl and Hulkenberg, have to have a high enough connection level with Heismay to get this one.
The Royal Thief archetype comes with a few synthesis skills, such as “Godkiller” which requires a Gunner, Masked Dancer, or Beserker party member and can deal a high level of physical Darkness damage to a single target. Additionally, mastering this Archetype will give you +5 Agility.
You won’t really be able to get this archetype until you’ve progressed quite far in the story, so in the meantime you can use the Dragoon, Ninja, or Tycoon archetypes for Heismay while you progress up to Royal Thief.
Best Archetype for Junah
THE Junah’s best archetype is the Royal Masked Dancer Royal Archetype, which again means it will cost you 30,000 MAG to learn it after unlocking it. To obtain this archetype, you must also be a rank 20 Persona Master in Junah’s Masked Dancer tree and a rank 20 Trickster in Alonzo’s Faker tree, as well as have a high enough bond with Eupha. This means you’ll have to do a lot of work to unlock it, and you probably won’t get this archetype until much later in the story.
The Royal Masked Dancer archetype comes with several synthesis skills, including “Masquerade Charge” which increases the physical attack of your entire party once per battle. Mastering this archetype will give you a +5 increase to your magic stats.
Overall, just like other royal archetypes, it will take a while to get this one. In the meantime, you can use the Trickster and Persona Master archetypes, as both are decent substitutions.
Best archetype for Eupha
THE The best archetype for Eupha is Royal Summoner (another Royal Archetype, you see where we’re going with this list, right?). To unlock this archetype, you must be a Rank 20 Soul Hacker in the More Seeker tree and a Rank 20 Devil Summoner in the Eupha Summoner tree. As with the others, you will also need 30,000 MAG to spend if you want to learn this specific archetype.
The Royal Summoner archetype comes with several synthesis skills, including “Summon Dragon God” which requires the use of a Mage, Summoner, or Masked Dancer in your party. Additionally, for mastering this archetype you will gain an increase to your magic stats by +5.
Again, this will take you a while to obtain, so the Soul Hacker and Devil Summoner archetypes are good alternatives to look into while you head there.
Best archetype for Basilio
Last but not least, the Basilio’s best archetype is Royal Berserker. To unlock it, you need to be Rank 20 in Basilio’s Berserker tree and Catherina’s Brawler tree, and Martial Artist at Rank 20, which will take some time and effort to achieve. However, both archetypes are good alternatives to use for Basilio until you have completed the unlock requirements for the associated royal archetype, which you can then learn for 30,000 MAG once your bond with Basilio is sufficiently pupil.
The Royal Berserker archetype comes with several synthesis skills such as the “Battlecry Tackle” which is useful for most battles. This synthesis skill allows Basilio to deal a high level of strike damage to all targets on the battlefield up to three times and will ignore all enemy resistances. Additionally, mastering this archetype will give you +5 Strength.
