Best Koleda Build
We have more detailed explanations and alternative choices below, but at a glance, here’s what we consider to be the best Koleda build in Zenless Zone Zero:
- Best weapon: S-rank Hellfire equipment.
- Best Training Disc Set:4 pieces Shockstar Disco and 2 pieces Swing Jazz.
- Best team:Soldier 11 and Ben.
How to play Koleda
The main trick to playing Koleda is to activate his EX Special Attack as often as possible, so Koleda implements a debuff that increases the damage of enemies’ chain attacks when they are stunned. Koleda’s EX Special Attack also increases the daze it inflicts if the Furnace Fire effect is active. This is why having a lot of energy regeneration is so important for Koleda.
The other essential part of Koleda’s kit is this Furnace Fire buff, which Koleda gains after using a Quick Assist, EX Special Attack, Chain Attack, or Ultimate. With Furnace Fire, Koleda can unleash an enhanced Basic Attack after the second hit, consuming the effect to deal massive Fire damage and increase the Stun she inflicts. Additionally, as mentioned above, Furnace Fire increases the Stun inflicted by her EX Special Attack while it is active.
So your two main goals with Koleda are to Light the oven fire as often as possibleAnd activate his EX special attack as often as possibleAll of this helps Koleda stun as quickly as she can, while also increasing the damage taken by enemies.
Koleda’s best teams
Koleda’s best team is with Ben and Soldier 11but Lucy can slot into Ben’s position without a huge loss of team synergy.
Soldier 11 is highly recommended to play as, as he gains a fire damage bonus when attacking stunned enemies, and Koleda is a fire character with the stun specialty. Ben increases the damage of most of Koleda’s attacks, as well as the daze multiplier of her basic attack – which is why he is such a good character to use with her.
The reason Lucy over Ben isn’t such a big loss is because of Lucy’s team-wide attack buff and the subs’ DPS abilities. This can make up for Ben’s lack of a boost from Koleda, as long as Lucy is built correctly. As a Support, Lucy can also trigger Quick Assist, and using Koleda for your Quick Assists gives her Furnace Fire, a staple of her kit that you’ll want to activate often.
If you don’t have Soldier 11, we recommend using another attack character, or even Lucy, if you want to double down on boosting Koleda as much as possible, turning her into a DPS character herself. Anton
Best Koleda Drives
We think the 4-piece Shockstar Nightclub is the best Driving Disc set for Koleda in Zenless Zone Zero, as its 2 pieces increase impact and its 4 pieces deal 20% more stun on a primary target enemy – both very useful for speeding up Koleda’s stun time and damage.
Alternatively, you can equip the 4-Piece Jazz swing Driving Disc on Koleda, as both pieces increase energy regeneration, and all four pieces increase damage to all squad members for 12 seconds when Koleda chains or ultimates. A great general support set, but overall we think Shockstar Disco benefits Koleda more, as you want to stun enemies as often as possible to inflict his debuff.
We recommend you use Swing Jazz in your 2 coin slotHowever, to get that energy regeneration boost. You can also slot the Inferno Metal 2-piece set in here, if you want Koleda to deal a bit more fire damage, but Swing Jazz will almost always benefit Koleda more, as you want to activate his EX special attack as often as possible.
Koleda’s Best Weapons
Rank S Gears of Hell is Koleda’s best weapon in Zenless Zone Zero due to its passive impact boost and energy regeneration when Koleda is off the field. It also increases Koleda’s impact for 10 seconds after using his EX special attack (something you’ll want to do often with Koleda).
If you don’t have Hellfire gear, you can use S rank The Retainer instead for its passive impact boost and other stackable impact buffs when Koleda hits an enemy.
We think Steam oven is Koleda’s best A-rank W-Engine, as it gives her a lot of passive energy regeneration and increases her impact for every 10 energy she accumulates, stacking up to eight times. If you don’t have a Steam Furnace, then Precious fossilized core Or Six shots can work for his impact boosts which work well with Koleda’s kit. Just keep in mind that Precious Fossilized Core doesn’t work as well when facing single-target or dual-target bosses.
Until you get one of these options, we recommend using Rank B. Hachette Vortex for his passive energy regeneration boost and his impact buff when Koleda enters the field.
Best wishes for the Koleda building in Zenless Zone Zero!
