the lost ark destroyer is useful if you want to start crushing demons in the game.
The Destroyer is an advanced class offered to those drawn to the major Warrior class in Lost Ark – giving you a sleek warrior in full armor carrying a massive gravity-controlling hammer on his back to battle his enemies.
It’s an interesting concept that comes, of course, with positives and negatives. Don’t worry – because we explain how to master the Destroyer and what you should expect from this class, including the best destroyer skills, engravings and spin.

How to play as the Destroyer in Lost Ark
Destroyers are warriors who control gravity and fight with a gigantic hammer to crush their enemies.
Instead of a fighter with a moveset full of stunts and fast attacks, you’ll find a very slow and heavy class if you choose the Destroyer.
However, their lack of mobility is made up for by a massive health pool, the ability to generate shields, and a few brutal hammer attacks. It’s not a difficult Lost Ark class for beginners and it’s also quite flexible in terms of PvP (Player vs. Player) and PvE (Player vs. Environment) content.
Usually destroyers are the tank of the group, but they can still cause a lot of trouble for their enemies. Expect cool jump attacks or dramatic explosions from the Destroyer’s hammer.
The main mechanics of the class are focus skills and gravity release skills. While the former generate Gravity Cores, the latter are spent to use upgraded versions of the latter.
This will load the Destroyer’s gravity meter. Once it’s full, Destroyers unleash the Hypergravity Zone, a type of special attack that allows players to deploy a single skill: the Gravity Vortex – a frontal attack in which you strike your hammer downward and also pull in enemies within range. The idea of class is the same in PvE or PvP content.
In both situations, your objective is to hit the enemies with your skills which will generate shields to mitigate the damage. In PvP, certain skills will help you start fights, thanks to the jumps you have.
Best Lost Ark Destroyer Skills
Here are our recommendations for the best Destroyer skills:
Heavy Crush (at least level 4 or 7)
A low cooldown/low damage skill that you can use. Generate 1 Gravity Core.
- Tripod 1: Rapid ground force blow. While the second increases your damage by 10%, the first makes it faster to use.
- Tripod 2: The law of the jungle
- Observation: It’s worth upgrading if you want to focus more on PVE content like Chaos Dungeons where you need to clear the area quickly. Otherwise, use the points in Running Crash.
Battleship (level 10)
A high damage area attack with a higher cooldown. Generates 2 gravity cores.
- Tripod 1: Unstoppable Force for PVE or Tenacity for PVP.
- Tripod 2: ranged hammer
- Tripod 3: Splendid attack
Jumping Smash (at least level 7 or 10)
A high cooldown skill with high damage but extremely useful for closing the gap between you and the enemy. Generates 2 gravity cores.
- Tripod 1: Dark Flame works great for PvE while Superior Change can be useful in PvP.
- Tripod 2: Time warp
- Tripod 3: Inversion of gravity
Running Crash (at least level 4 or 10)
A forward sprint attack with a higher cooldown that hits 7 times. Generates 2 gravity cores.
- Tripod 1: Reinforced body
- Tripod 2: Anti-gravity
- Tripod 3: Advance improved
Endure pain (at least level 7 or 10)
The skill with the highest cooldown in this build. Your character lets out a roar that damages enemies around it and also gains immunity to Thrusts. It also mitigates a certain percentage of incoming damage. It generates 3 gravity cores.
- Tripod 1: Wide shot
- Tripod 2: Anti-Gravity is great, but Taunt can be an option if you prefer to tank some raids
- Tripod 3: Healthy mentality
Earth Eater (level 10)
An incredibly powerful big sweep attack to quickly clear areas or attack more than one enemy at once.
- Tripod 1: red shards
- Jripod 2: Tenacity for PvP could be a great option, but sweat also works great
- Tripod 3: rock storm
Individual army (level 10)
Your character delivers a sequence of swing attacks.
- Tripod 1: Agile movement
- Tripod 2: red hammer
- Tripod 3: Deadly Hammer
Earthquake Hammer (Level 10)
Along with Earth Eater, this is one of your big area attacks. The character smashes the ground by popping out large rock spikes and hitting enemies around them.
- Tripod 1: Reinforced Body is a great choice, but for PvP Tenacity can also be very useful
- Tripod 2: Concussion
- Tripod 3: hungry strength
Awakening Skills
- Terra Break: An amazing skill for AoE damage, so it’s best for PvE.
- Big Bang: It’s a holding skill that does good damage, knocking enemies back, but it also dampens a certain percentage of incoming damage and gives you debuff immunity. A great skill for PvP.
Better rotation of Lost Ark Destroyer
The idea behind this rotation is to consistently get Gravity Cores with Focus Skills and only use Release Skills when all three cores trigger their upgraded version.
Our goal here is to fill the Gravity Meter as soon as possible.
You can focus on using Dreadnaught or Jumping Smash followed by Endure Pain since you’ll be jumping into the enemy. These are all skills with higher cooldowns.
Because of this, even though it doesn’t deal much damage, you should use Heavy Crush as a loadout.
Its cooldown is so low that you will inevitably have it after using one of the others. Once all three cores are in place, go for Earth Eater, One-Man Army, or Seismic Hammer.
Keep it up and you’ll be ready to use the Vortex Gravity!
Lost Ark Destroyer best prints
Engravings are an important aspect of your character if you plan to delve into final game content.
Here is a list of some general burns that work considerably well with Destroyer gameplay and skills. The final decision is of course based on what type of playstyle you prefer.
- Barricade: This will increase damage while you’re shielded, so it’s a great combo with skills like Earth Eater or One-Man Army which gives you a shield when activated.
- Master Brawler: This increases the damage of frontal attacks, such as Heavy Crush, Dreadnaught, Jumping Smash, Earth Eater, etc., making this burn a must-have.
- Observation: in the Western version of the game, frontal attacks are the same as head attacks.
- Spirit Absorption: With this burn, your attack and movement speed increases, which can compensate for slow Destroyer animations.
The class also has two unique engravings: “Gravity Training” and “Rage Hammer”. To know which one to prioritize, it’s important to understand what style of play you’re going to adopt. If you want more damage, Rage Hammer is the best choice.
Gravity Training is a more basic choice, giving your character extra damage while helping you refill your Gravity Meter.
So now that you’ve learned how to play as the Destroyer, you can try to complete some of the Lost Ark content, like bosses Rudric and Rovlen to collect some good items for your journey crushing demons.
