How to complete the Fox quest in Black Myth Wukong
Completing the Fox quest involves Defeat the Non-Void, a Yaoguai leader inside the new Thunderclap TempleIt’s an optional boss, and the path to find it is long.
From the portal where the quest begins, you can continue forward following the main path and you will find the The Road to Longevity sanctuary. Now, taking the stairs to your right in the next section, you reach a large portal where you must face the Captain Kalpa-Wave boss. It’s not a difficult encounter, but you have to watch out for the blood projectiles they shoot at you.
After beating the boss, you can unlock the Entrance to the temple sanctuary a little further. While you can traverse the following areas in your normal form, you can walk faster as a fox. Whatever you decide, stay as far away from enemies as possible in your path.
From the temple entrance, go through the building in front of you and exit into a large square with stairs on both sides. Take the one on the left (be careful of enemies in this part who can cast lightning spells on you) then use another staircase on your left to go down. Enter the building in front of you.
Inside this building, use the stairs to your right. There is an enemy ready to hit you once you get to the top of these stairs, so be prepared to dodge and exit the room using a door to your left. Outside, go forward and turn right for another staircase. From there, you must be in your fox formYou cannot transform if enemies are targeting you.
Head up the stairs to reach a building guarded by two enemies. You can ignore them, just be sure to dodge their attacks. Once inside in your fox form, a cutscene will play and it will be time to face the boss related to this quest, the Non-Void.
During the fight, Non-Void will primarily use two- and three-hit combos. While it’s not easy to identify which one he’s about to use, knowing how many punches and kicks he’s likely to perform gives you a good idea of how long you should stay away from him.
The best time to attack is when Non-Void starts gathering a cloud of talismans in front of him. Use Immobilize to stop its casting and use whatever you have. If you don’t have Immobilize activated at this point, be prepared to run away from the talismans and dodge the ones Non-Void throws while you’re being chased by the cloud. Push it back to reach the final part of the quest.
To complete the Fox quest, you must return to the Forest of Bliss Shrine and speak to the Fox again. A short cutscene will play and you will have completed the Fox quest in Black Myth: Wukong
