When is Prop Hunt coming out in Black Ops 6?
As it stands, there is no official release date or time for Prop Hunt.
However, we do know that it will return during Season 1, which began on November 14, 2024. With a runtime of around 75 days, we can assume that the mode will be released in the next two or three months. but certainly before the release of season 2 – probably in February 2025.
It’s worth noting that in early December, the game will see the launch of Season 1 Reloaded, a mid-season upd ate that adds new content and much more.
However, given that the COD Blog states that the mode will release “in-season” compared to other aspects which instead say “mid-season”, it is entirely possible that the mode will be available in the coming weeks.
The mode isn’t available in private matches yet either, so for now it will be best to keep an eye on the usual official channels to get the exact date.
What is Prop Hunt in Black Ops 6 explained
As the name suggests, the mode focuses on finding accessories. The problem is that a team literally are the props, while the other team has to chase them.
Generally, it is a lap-based mode where each team takes turns playing the props, and the goal is to survive as long as possible without getting eliminated.
The prop team has a variety of items for dressing up, and you can browse them at any time.
However, you will need to be careful and determine as early as possible which prop you are left with, just in case you move from a small object – like a ball – to a larger object like a cabinet, thus giving away your location. in seconds, especially if you are in the open air.
Once you’ve chosen a costume accessory, it’s all about blending in and looking as close to your surroundings as possible.
All this while the team of hunters roam the map, randomly shooting at objects they suspect of being a player. If you are caught, you can run (or slide, hover, or any other movement mode applied to said object) for it to attempt to escape.
You also have a set of actions that you can use as well. This includes abilities such as using a stun grenade on enemies if you need to escape, accessing a decoy of your current item to confuse the opposition, as well as a whistle – if you want to brazenly taunt the opposing team while you are hiding in plain sight.
If you are eliminated, you are eliminated until the end of the round, forced to observe the other players on your team.
The idea is that the teams then swap places each round, and it’s basically who can survive the longest or eliminate the other team completely.
Speaking from my previous experience with this mode, it’s absolutely crazy and I can’t wait to try it again just for the hilarity of the game. It’s not serious at all and it’s a fun party mode that pairs with the other modes of the game such as Infected and Gun Game.
