When you think of bugs in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, not all bugs are stopping you from progressing.
In fact, over the years, many glitches have been used by players to add new dynamics that improve gameplay. Although they are generally only used by those who want a “different” experience or speedrunners.
Whichever way you want to enjoy this video game masterpiece, in this article, we’ll go over 10 of the best gaming glitches. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild which affected his gameplay.
Run without getting tired with this Zelda BotW glitch
One of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s problems has made it easier for millions of players to navigate its expansive map.
This is a bug that allows Link to run while whistling. To do this, you need to start whistling and immediately run in one direction. The upside is that you won’t lose stamina, and you’ll even recover a little. This issue allowed players to run non-stop when unable to use a horse, especially when speedrunning.
infinite arrows
Glitches in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild are not limited to exploration. Some of them also benefited players with more resources, including those needed for combat, such as arrows.
To get infinite arrows you will have to go to the Sekken bazaar and find the pot that is between the banana seller and the melon seller. You will then need to aim for the rim of the pot using a multi-shot bow and shoot. If Link collects his used arrows from this specific location, he can duplicate them.
This helped players to have infinite arrows, although the process had to be repeated.
The ball jump trick in Zelda BotW
This glitch of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild not only saves time, but also allows you to freely explore the map.
The trick is to send Link flying through the air in a few simple steps, though you’ll need to find an enemy near one edge, as well as a shield. If successful, Link will be able to explore Hyrule through the skies and even access uncharted areas while avoiding enemies.
Here are the steps to follow:
- Block with a shield just when we are on an enemy.
- Press X, then A, to start shield surfing.
- Press ZR to go to slow motion with the bow.
- Land with the shield on the enemy to bounce off them, sending Link flying.
- To prevent us from running out of energy too quickly, we must press Y or B right after.
Obtain the master sword with only three hearts
Another of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s issues that quickly spread to speedrunners was the Master Sword shortcut.
Usually in The Legend of Zelda games, Link gets stronger over time and gains more experience. However, thanks to this bug, players managed to get the Master Sword with only three hearts.
This issue required players to build a Campfire right next to the Master Sword in Kolog Forest. If Link interacted with the fire to wait for morning and moved his view to the trees above, the player could press the interact button. Link allegedly claimed the Master Sword by the time morning came.
The magnetic bug in Zelda: Breath of the Wild
On some occasions, you may not have an enemy on the edge of a mountain and want to explore in the air. The magnet glitch in Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been one of the most popular methods for this.
The process is quite simple. First you will need a mining cart on which you will place a piece of metal (preferably a flat surface to stand on, like a box). You can then use the magnet to lift the cart, which will cause Link to float next to the piece of metal. You’ll be able to control which direction you fly to explore the surroundings, although it’s not the fastest mode of transportation.
Failure to prevent fall damage
One of the mechanics of open-world games is damage decay, although not all players like it as it sometimes penalizes you for being too curious. However, others argue that it adds realism to the adventures.
If you don’t like getting hurt by falling and want to progress faster, you can avoid it by using a glitch in Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The trick is to use the launch team button and right before you drop, switch weapons. The idea is that Link isn’t holding the weapon he was going to throw after the fall. This way you will avoid taking damage.
Kill bosses in an instant
Zelda: Breath of the Wild bugs also helped speedrunners or players stuck with a boss to progress faster. It’s a way to win the match without even fighting.
This bug has been exploited by many players and is quite easy to do. Before entering the boss arena, Link can shoot arrows at the place the enemy will spawn from and enter immediately. While the cutscene is in progress, the boss will continue to take damage from arrows until it runs out of health.
The Elemental Twist with Bow
Another hugely popular Zelda: Breath of the Wild glitch has long been the bow spin, which lets you get the most out of elemental weapons like the lightning sword.
The trick is to equip a weapon and spin. Just before the weapon hits the enemy, Link can aim with the bow. This cheat allowed players to deal large amounts of elemental damage without wasting resources, although it requires some skill to do so frequently.

Have fun destroying physics with this Zelda BotW cheat
There’s a glitch in Zelda: Breath of the Wild that won’t help your game at all, but it will make you laugh by altering the game’s physics.
To do this, you’ll need to push a Stalnox to a waterfall, which you can do in western Necluda Narien Forest (south of Bubing Forest). If you use your magnet on a metal chest, you can push the Stalnox up, taking it towards the waterfall.
If you see the enemy disappear, you will notice that the game physics will behave unpredictably while the boss is awake. Your game will return to normal outside of Stalnox hours.
infinite materials
This is arguably one of the most broken Glitches in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, since it allows you to get no less than 999 units of a material with a single method.
You will only have to start a new game in which Link will not have any armor. You will then place the item you want to clone into the first inventory slot, equip a shield, and save the game. Now you need to set up the inventory slot transfer feature in your main game.
You will need to go back to your game and continue without opening the menu until you reach a place where the game automatically saves. As soon as this happens, open the menu and get rid of the objects you want to clone. When you restart the game, you will have 999 units of said item.
