How to fix a communications network with satellites in Dead Space
During Chapter 8, while trying to contact USM Valor, you will encounter another glitch in Isaac and Daniels’ plans when they discover that the satellite dishes needed to contact the crew have been destroyed or misaligned.
Your locator is useless in the comms control room during this puzzle, as it stops showing you a straight line to your objective and highlights the entire room.
To fix the communication board in Dead Space Remake you need to create a single blue line of energy from the power source to the top of the top of the piece, in the central node.
To guide this blue line of energy, you must use the satellite dishes that have white lines on them. These white lines represent the direction in which the blue energy will flow. Not all satellites have these lines, and not all satellites with a white line need to be used to solve the puzzle.
Use your Kinesis to remove satellites with no lines above the power source. It’s the big fuse-shaped thing with a blue glow below the main comms control display screen.
You’ll know you’ve inserted the correct satellites and solved the comms network puzzle when Ishimura’s computer tells you that the comms network has been realigned and Daniels contacts you again.
