God Roll Recommendation Osteo Striga in Destiny 2
One of the advantages of crafted weapons over random drops is that you can select specific components and perks, and assemble the ideal roller yourself, without having to rely on a random lucky drop. Osteo Striga is no different.
The Osteo Striga exotic perk comes in two parts. The first is Howling Swarm. The bullets fired by this weapon are sensitive and poisonous projectiles that stalk enemies. If you line up your shots, they will follow the target, even in cover if you have the right angle.
The second is Toxic overload. With this, repeated kills or precision hits will trigger a poison blast that will spread to nearby enemies. It’s a powerful ability that can kill entire swarms of weak enemies in an instant.
An ideal build, aka a “god roll” of Osteo Striga, will focus on accuracy and maneuverability, which will maximize the gun’s Exotic perk activation frequency.
Here is our recommendation for the best god roll Osteo Striga in Destiny 2:
- small caliber
- Precise rounds
- Hand laid stock
As an SMG, Osteo Striga is designed for close combat. Range and accuracy tend to be the weaknesses of these weapon types. small caliber increases the effective range of this gun, while reducing recoil.
Precise rounds further increases the range. This is useful in PvE and essential in PvP, where smart players will force engagements outside of ranges where Osteo Striga is typically effective.
Osteo Striga has a very vertical recoil pattern, which makes it easy to predict. Added the Hand laid stock reduces the force of this pull, making it easier to control. This allows you to take advantage of range increases from other components and become as deadly at medium range as you are up close.
The Catalyst for Osteo Striga becomes available once you earn enough XP with the pistol to reach level 10. Equipping the Catalyst increases your range and reload speed, and poisonous final hits return ammo to the weapon’s magazine.
It’s the last piece to really complete the god roll Osteo Striga, as waves of enemies smash past you as your weapon replenishes its magazine.
