Organize your team for the Prophecy Dungeon

Dungeons are intended to be endgame difficulty content for squads, so preparation and coordination will be key. Clear communication will help. You can get by with emotes if you need to, but voice chat is highly recommended. Prophecy’s power level is set at just 1,600therefore no power level should be necessary before diving.

There will be large groups of enemies and you will often fight fighters at a longer distance than usual. Super add clearing weapons like Risk runner Or Osteo Cri are handy up close, while snipers, bows, and linear fusion rifles for long range engagements are a big help.

Defeating bosses will be easier if you have good DPS weapons. Linear fusion, grenade launchers, rockets and even swords are all extremely viable. There will be a lot of running and shooting, so while something like Divinity can be useful at times, its usefulness here is diminished compared to other difficult missions.

How to get through Heaven/Hell using Light and Dark Particles

You start aboard the Drifter’s ship. Walk forward and a portal will open, sending you to an area called Heaven/Hell. Captured enemies will immediately and continuously begin spawning.

At the other end of the room will be a Pillar of Light and Pillar of Darkness. You will need to activate them in order to pave the way forward. To activate them, you must collect 5 particles, either Light or Dark, and immerse them on the corresponding pillar. It’s similar to a game of Gambit. Just note that if you have particles of one element and collect the other, your stacks will be reset. There is also a time that counts down, and if you don’t use or collect particles in time, they disappear from you.

For the particles to appear, you will need to eliminate captured knights. Pay attention to the lights and shows while you fight. Defeat a knight in a fully lit area will cause them to release particles of light. Kill them while you’re in a dark or shaded area will cause them to drop Motes of Darkness.

Use shadows and cover to control the particles you collect, and focus on collecting enough to activate the pillars of light one by one. Once you have activated them all, the door will open and you will repeat the process. Once you’ve done all of this again, the path to the first boss, the Phalanx Echo, will be open.

How to defeat Phalanx Echo in Destiny 2

The first boss of Prophecy is the Phalanx Echo, an imposing Phalanx protected by an army of Corrupted. The fight takes place on a raised circular platform, be wary of getting too close to the edges and falling to your death.

The boss has a shield that prevents all damage received. Around the arena are pillars of light and darkness, just like in the Heaven/Hell section. Once again, you will have to hunt the Taken Knights and collect the particles they fall. Use the shadows cast by the different platforms to stand in the dark to drop dark particles, and stand in the light to get light particles. Make sure to only collect one type until you have a full stack of five, then head to the Pillar of Light or Darkness and activate it.

Once all pillars are activated, the Phalanx Echo will be vulnerable. Quickly deal as much damage to the boss as possible, but also keep an eye out for any caught goblins. These have the ability to throw a shield at the boss which stops damage received. Casting a roaming Super like a Warlock’s Stormtrance or Titan’s Ground Hammer can keep them at bay. If you don’t kill the Phalanx Echo in a single damage phase, it will eventually regenerate its shield. Repeat the process with the pillars of light and darkness until the boss falls.

How to Escape the Wasteland

The wasteland is a huge desert covered in sand. You and your squad will travel everywhere, luckily you can summon your sparrows for some much needed speed.

The objective here is to find a certain number of Plagues taken and destroy them. They will be protected by small continents of standard Corrupted enemies. There isn’t much technique to finding them again, you can split up and stay together, but regardless of your group it’s just a matter of moving around until you come into contact with enemies or you saw the plagues. Once you have destroyed the blights in the area, locate and touch the floating orb “Toland”.

You will have to do this three times. Beware of giant, invisible minotaurs on patrol. Once all the blights are gone and the floating orbs hit, a ray of light will appear, showing the way out of the Wasteland.

How to solve the hexahedron puzzle

Good news! You have gone deep into the Prophecy Dungeon. The bad news is that you’re stuck in a giant cube called the Hexahedron. We’ve all been there. The goal of this meeting is to “solve” the Hexahedron by rotating it in different directions, a bit like a giant and simplified Rubik’s cube. One side of the cube (including the ceiling) will always have a Toland Orb floating, you will have to turn in the direction you are facing.

In this space you have walls on all sides and platforms with uneven geometry. Note where the shadows are cast, the light and dark particle mechanics will be in play here. There will be a pillar of light or darkness in each of the four directions. Kill the Hobgoblin Snipers to spawn the Knights. As before, eliminate them by standing in light or darkness to create particles, and once you have enough you can activate a Pillar of Light or Darkness, depending on the type of mote you collected. Once you activate a pillar, a portal will appear in the center of the room. Once your entire squad enters there, you will teleport to the new orientation.

The enemies here are pretty relentless. All clearing supers are useful, as is a Warlock’s Well of Radiance super. Snipers are a constant nuisance, so try to stay behind cover. Witherhoard is a great option for taking out Knights using its damage reserves over time while you hide in a safe location.

The coin will spin towards the pillar you activate. Typically this means you will see which side the Toland orb is on and activate the pillar on that side. If it’s on the ceiling, you’ll need to rotate it twice in the same direction. Once you have correctly rotated towards the orb five times, a pair of bosses called Centurion Echos will appear. Eliminate them (they are not very strong) to clear this section.

How to cross the Singularity

You will find yourself in the Wasteland again. This time, the boss of the Dungeon, the Kell Echo, will appear. Follow him as he heads towards the exit. You won’t be able to harm him, but he will shoot you, so be sure to avoid incoming fire. Eventually it will lead you to another door. When you pass through it, you will be greeted by another enormous space, often referred to by Guardians as “Rainbow Road”.

Your goal is to follow the long ribbon-shaped paths to the end, where a pyramid structure awaits you. It’s a long way, and summoning your sparrow will save you time. Just watch out for sniper fire and look ahead for branching paths to make sure they don’t turn around or suddenly end. If you need to bail out your sparrow and make strategic jumps, you can do that too.

Eventually you’ll reach the bottom of the paths, where a floating island waits with a launcher to send you flying towards the pyramid. Head inside, go up the stairs, and head to the final boss fight.

How to defeat the Kell Echo and beat the Prohpecy Dungeon

The finale of the Prophecy Dungeon is a showdown with the Kell Echo. As befits a final encounter, this will combine the mechanics from the start of the dungeon. The boss itself is very mobile and can soak up damage, so weapons that can hit hard from a distance like Linear Fusion Rifles, Rockets, and Even Izanagi’s Burden snipers are viable. There will also be times when you are dealing with large and aggressive mobs of enemies, at least one or two group clearing weapons are a must.

There are two phases in this fight that you will alternate between. You will first be in a triangle-shaped room. Each point of the triangle has an invulnerable copy of the Kell Echo trying to tear you apart. Before each is a pillar of light or darkness.

If you’ve completed the rest of the dungeon, you can probably guess what happens next. You will have to survive the attacks of enemies and hunt knights to collect particles of light or darkness. Collect five of them and use them to activate the corresponding pillar.

Once you activate a pillar, two things happen. First of all, the clone of Kell Echo will disappear. Second, a Ogre will emerge from the ground. Take it out quickly, then prepare to repeat the process two more times until all the Kell Echo clones disappear. A teleporter will appear in the center of the arenabring it to be warped to where the Kell Echo is hiding.

You will come to a long open hallway. A portal lies at the bottom, waiting to take you back to the triangular room from the first phase. A series of platforms will be waiting for you, just like the Kell Echo.

Start dealing all possible damage to the boss. He and some Taken Hobgoblin snipers will shoot at you, and the Kell Echo will explode. Teleporter Banes yours. When they hit you, you are instantly teleported to the start of this area. This is a problem because every time you are not near the boss you will start accumulating piles of Dark Entropy. If it reaches 10 charges, you are killed instantly.

As Kell Echo takes damage, he travels along the platforms towards the portal at the back of the room. Chase him down and stay close enough to avoid the dark entropy while you deal damage to him. Eventually he will reach the back of the room and teleport away. It’s up to you to navigate the portal and repeat the process.

From there, it’s a battle of endurance as you survive the first phase and hammer away at the Kell Echo in the second phase. Persevere, and he will eventually fall, sending you to the Realm of the Nine, where a fate awaits you to reward your triumph.

Good luck in the Prophecy dungeon!
