Disney Dreamlight Valley Gems Explained

Gems are found by using your pickaxe at mining sites in the valley. Mining drains energy, so if you’re doing it away from home, we recommend bringing meals or picking up snacks from the area you’re in.

Cocoa beans are surprisingly good at restoring energy on their own.

We also recommend hang out with a level 10 mining character. There is a chance to get more gems while mining each time you hang out with a character who has been assigned the mining bonus, but this chance is increased if they are at level 10. Assign more villagers to the mining bonus can increase gem bonus. you get to drag even further.

Don’t worry if you don’t have a lot of villagers with the mining bonus if you plan to farm them, as you can now change villager roles with training manuals.

If you Really If you want to quickly increase the effectiveness of your gem farming, you can also craft the Miracle Pickaxe Polish or the even more powerful Miracle Pickaxe Polish potions. When applied to your pickaxe, you’ll get more gems from each mining site, but potions have limited uses.

How to Get Shiny Gems in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Shiny gems are a rare spawn obtained from any mine site in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Shiny Gem variants are always found in the same place as its regular type. For example, a shiny topaz can only be found by mining in the square, just like a regular topaz.

Just like with regular gems, you need to get a level 10 character hanging around with you while mining to increase your chances of getting more shiny gems. Using Polish Miracle Pickaxe potions can also help.

Just keep in mind that potions don’t increase your chance of getting a shiny gem – but with more gems from a mine, you’re more likely to get a shine than if you weren’t using not the potions.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Gem Spawn Time

It takes approximately five minutes for mining sites to reappear in Disney Dreamlight Valley. However, gems are not guaranteed to spawn in all mining sites, so it will likely take you longer than five minutes if you are farming gems.

On the other hand, mining sites where you can see gems are guaranteed to have that gem, so you should prioritize mining if you are short on time.
