Without further ado, we are here to show you how to complete the nameless village quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2more the rewards to do this.

How to start the Nameless Village quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2
To start the Nameless Village quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you need to talk to Captain Brant at night at the Stardrop Inn in the merchant district of Vernworth.
While talking to him, select the “Tell me about the fake Sovran” option and this will start the Nameless Village quest. However, like most of Brant’s quests so far, you aren’t really told what to do – all he gives you is a vague set of instructions…
How to complete the Nameless Village quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2
To complete the Nameless Village quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you need to head northeast of Vernworth, find the Nameless Village, and find information about the fake Sovran there. It seems simple enough, but there are several things you need to do:
We will guide you step by step in this quest, starting by finding the nameless village. But first, we recommend spending some time until morning before starting this quest, otherwise the hike to the village will be much more difficult.
Find the location of the unnamed village
After obtaining Brant’s quest, make sure it is marked as your priority quest in your quest list, this will ensure that the vague area you need to head to is clearly marked on your world map.
To find the location of the unnamed village, follow the main path shown on the map below northeast of Vernworth.
As you follow this path, you will eventually notice that it has been blocked by a landslide.
From this point, retrace the path you used and you should come across a campsite (marked by a campfire on your map) just off the road. Go there then use your map to head towards the “oriental forest” marker:
When you are near the marker location, you should come to a valley slightly below you. Go down here carefully.
Then continue to follow the path in this valley towards the quest area marked on your map. Keep in mind that you will be ambushed by Choppers here and might encounter a fairly large and angry monster. Now you can fight if you want, but if, like us, you are still at a fairly low level, we recommend keeping your pawns at your side and running to get there.
When you reach the end of the valley path, you may feel like it’s a dead end. Here you need to use the green-covered rocks on the right side of the area as a ramp and climb them (quickly if the monster is still alive).
Follow the path until you reach the entrance to the unnamed village.
Head to the mansion
Walk towards the village and you will eventually be stopped by the Zeltas, they will warn you and tell you to talk to someone at the mansion, but of course you are not going to heed the warning.
Use the main path through the unnamed village to get to the old noble mansion on the hill. You can also find its location indicated on the map below:
When you arrive at the mansion, enter and talk to Flaude by the fireplace. Go through all the available conversation options and he will eventually give you the Legendary Opus tome for the Thief Vocation.
Find a secret entrance
Once he finishes speaking, exit the Manor then turn right. Continue past the bench here and to the right.
You should eventually come across a large hole with a ladder. Use the ladder to safely descend into the hole (don’t jump.)
At the bottom, follow the path until you come to your first moving puzzle.
Survive the puzzles
The first puzzle tests your balance. When you arrive at the puzzle area, you should see three seesaw-shaped structures. Don’t worry if you fall, the height won’t kill you but it will get annoying after a while.
To get through the first puzzle, jump to the swing on your right and slowly ride it up until you are just behind the third metal strip from the top.
Once here, turn left and carefully jump to the swing here. Once you’re on this one, quickly ride it to the next swing and then, once at the top, jump onto it.
You now need to use your weight to tilt this last seesaw towards the ceiling on the side facing the stone ledge. Don’t stand too close to the end of the swing or you will slip.
When you feel like you’ve gained enough height from your tilt, ride the swing and jump to the stone ledge. Once there, be sure to lower the ladder to make future visits much easier.
Then follow the path forward and backward to reach the second puzzle. This one is slightly trickier because there are now swinging bags that you have to deal with.
To solve this puzzle, jump to the first swing and head to the middle. Make sure you stand where the swinging bag can’t hit you. Wait for the bag to pass, then quickly run and jump onto the platform at the end of the seesaw on the left.
This platform is solid, so you can spend a while there. When you’re ready to continue, jump to the seesaw ramp on the lower level in front of you. Once on it, use your weight to slowly tilt it upwards, then jump to the upper seesaw ramp on your right.
This is the last obstacle. Use your weight to tilt the ramp toward the ceiling, at the end where the swing bag is located. Once it’s tilted enough, run forward once you feel like you can dodge the bag, then jump to the stone ledge.
Again, on this side, lower the ladder to make going back and forth much easier. Now follow the path until you reach a wooden door. Enter the door and meet Srail.
Talk to Srail
Ta-da! The mansion you went to before was actually a decoy, pretty sneaky, huh? The real information for this quest is here with Srail – the person standing near the table.
Talk to them and follow all the conversation options that appear to find out that the fake Sovran is Darragh, select the “Ask about Darragh” option and Srail will give you a warrant for their arrest.
You can now return to Brant at Vernworth, but we recommend doing something first if you’re feeling mischievous.
Leave the room you’re in via the red door to the left of Srail and loot the five chests in this smaller area. This will give you the following items, but be prepared to run away if you get caught:
- 2,110G
- Thief’s Leggings
- Aged shore fish
- Elderly tidal swimmer
- eye of the tiger
- Skin Flayers
Report to Brant
When you are ready, complete the Nameless Villager quest by returning to Brant at the Stardrop Inn at night in Vernworth. Talk to him at the quiet (and completely unsuspicious) table – then select the “Fake Sovran” option again.
Deliver Srail’s arrest certificate and you will have completed this quest.
