The new Team of the Week team is now available, with enhanced Ultimate Team cards available in EA FC 24 packs starting today. However, unlike previous weeks, this time around there are no new TOTW cards with overall ratings above 90. The highest rated card in TOTW 18 goes to PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. The 24-year-old needed to be in top form to keep a determined Lens at bay in Ligue 1 this weekend. The Italian goalkeeper was called upon on several occasions, and even saved a penalty, securing a clean sheet in the Parisians’ 2-0 victory over last year’s finalists in the title race.
Donnarumma was given the highest-rated card in the Week 18 team after Kevin De Bruyne, who looked like a spot on the final TOTW team, was shunned by EA. Belgium came off the bench to put in a match-winning performance for Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday. De Bruyne scored the equalizer and then had an assist in added time as Pep Guardiola’s side came back from 2-1 down to win 3-2 against Newcastle United.
Although De Bruyne missed out on a new TOTW card, he could be included in the upcoming Team of the Year promotion which launches this Friday. Elsewhere, Rasmus Højlund – who plays for City’s main rivals Manchester United – was included in the latest team of the week squad. The Danish striker scored a superb goal for the Red Devils in their 2-2 draw against Tottenham at Old Trafford over the weekend.
