THE Paintings are items in Elden Ring that represent specific landscape patterns. In total, there are seven paintings hidden in The Lands Between, and if you have the paintings in your bag and search for the location they represent, you will find a special reward.
However, this only works if you’ve collected the corresponding painting, so you’ll need to find them each if you want to see the ghostly figure who will be sitting on a chair in the location depicted (the artist behind the painting, perhaps) . ?), who will leave your reward behind.

Homing instinct painting
- Where to find: The Artist’s Hut in eastern Limgrave.
- Location shown: Northwest of Grace’s “Seaside Ruins” site and a short distance southwest of the dragon-burned ruins in Limgrave (near the bats).
- Reward: Incantation scarab (helmet).
Prophecy Painting
- Where to find: At Stormveil Castle. When you arrive in the walled inner courtyard (where the Omen and his dog are hanging out), there is a small room containing the painting.
- Location shown: Behind the Pilgrimage Church on the Wailing Peninsula (looking northwest towards Stormveil Castle).
- Reward: Ashes of Warhawk.
Resurrection painting
- Where to find: In the artist’s cabin in Liurnia (northwest of the Carian study room).
- Location shown: Head southeast from the grace site “Behind Caria Manor” (you must have completed Caria Manor and defeated Loretta). In the cemetery near the Albinaurics you will see the sitting skeleton (with a view of the Raya Lucaria Academy).
- Reward: 1x Larva Tear, Juvenile Scholar’s Cap, Juvenile Scholar’s Robe.
Red Mane Paint
- Where to find: In Sellia, Town of Witchcraft, in a building on the right side of the main street (directly south of the Sellia map symbol).
- Location shown: Northeast of Fort Faroth and south of Minor Erdtree.
- Reward: Ash of War: Rain of arrows.
The path to the depicted location of this painting is a bit tricky, so here’s a more detailed explanation of how to get there. First, go southeast of the Erdtree (Dragonbarrow) to this location:
Drop onto the root below then continue downward little by little. Torrent will help you complete difficult jumps. Ignore the golem, as it’s not worth it, but grab the rune bow next to it while continuing down to reach the painting location.
Painting of the Champion’s Song
- Where to find: In the Shadowed Castle of the Altus Plateau. Head north/northeast from the “Shady Castle Ramparts” grace site and you will see a poisoned area on the left with a wooden shelter containing the painting.
- Location shown: Southwest of the Grace Site ‘Rampartside Path’ on the Altus Plateau, in the area where you fight the Elder Dragon Lansseax. The spirit faces west, towards the Tomb of the Holy Hero.
- Reward: Harp bow.
Painting of flightless birds
- Where to find: In Leyndell, Royal Capital. Go to the grace site “Western Capital Wall” and from there you will reach the fortified mansion (a building with the same structure as the Round Table Fort). You will find the painting on the ground floor next to the Grace Site “Fortified Manor, First Floor”.
- Location shown: Dominula, Windmill Village. Go to this location north of the Altus Plateau, defeat the Godskin Apostle and look further south for the ghost on the cliffs.
- Reward: Incantation ‘The mortal sin of fire’.
Wizard Painting
- Where to find: At Château Sol. In the inner courtyard, you have to go past the ballistae to cross the bridge. Behind the second shooter, a ladder descends into a building. He will lead you to the room with the painting.
- Location shown: Southwest of Castle Sol, on the side of the bridge northwest of the Stargazer Ruins (facing east toward the crescent moon).
- Reward: Greatness.
