THE Cliffbottom Catacombs in Elden Ring are a small dungeon in Liurnia. Inside these walls you will encounter many enemies, including an Erdtree Burial Watchdog boss at the very end.
Compared to the other catacombs you’ll explore in Elden Ring, Cliffbottom’s is surprisingly simple. However, don’t let your guard down, as several large enemies will block your path, even if one of them is sleeping on the job!

Cliffbottom Catacombs Walkthrough
You can reach Cliffbottom’s Catacombs in Elden Ring, in the southeast of the area, by following the Great Southern Road from Liurnia to the north. The entrance to the dungeon is to the east of the Purified Ruins.
Here is the location on the map:
Behind the Site of Grace, dismantle the platform and don’t let yourself be surprised by the enemies in the next room.
Take 5x root resin of the corpse half buried by the stones and continue through the passage on the left
Turn right before the boss’s door and follow the hallway to a larger room. Go down the stairs and watch out for the arrow trap and enemies in the next hallway.
You will then enter a room where an enemy is napping next to some pillars to the right of the steps. You can surprise him in his sleep.
At the top of the stairs you can sacrifice a Stone Sword Key and receive the Nox’s Mirror Helm as a reward. On the right is another enemy guarding 1x runic bow.
Then go up the stairs on the right and cross the adjoining corridor (watch out for the floor slab).
On the left side we find a room, also secured by a trap, with three enemies inside. They keep the scythe.
Follow the passage diagonally opposite a corpse with 1x Golden Rune (3). Deadlock. Here, it doesn’t go any further.
How to access the lever that opens the heavy door to the boss. Return to the stairs at this point:
Go down, kill the enemy, recover 1x Ghost Glovewort (3) and search the area carefully. You will find more Lilies, 3x heavy beast bonesTHE Prattling Pate ‘Wonderful’ and another passage.
You can defeat the enemy at the end by triggering the trap and jumping out of the way. The ladder at the end of the hallway will take you to the boss door lever (next to it is 3x Old Fang).
Just ahead, one of the great enemies is kneeling before an altar. You can stab him in the back then get the Page ashes.
How to Defeat Cliffbottom Catacombs Erdtree Burial Guard Dog
Another guard dog of Erdtree burials. Once again, he is the boss of a catacomb. You already know the brothers from the Stormfoot Catacombs in Limgrave or the Impaler Catacombs on the Peninsula of Tears.
He fights with a magic staff and has a few magical attacks up his sleeve, but is otherwise no different from his colleagues in other locations.
If you’ve ever killed a guard dog, this one shouldn’t cause you any problems. It’s a little sturdier and sturdier, but otherwise of the same construction.
Stick to the tactics that worked before and beat him. Your rewards for beating them are 3200 Runes and the Ashes of Kaiden Sellsword.
