Haligtree Secret Medallion Halves help you access an optional but important end-game area in Elden Ring.
Finding them will help you access Consecrated Snowfield and Miquella’s Haligtree, home to the game’s toughest challenge, Malenia, Blade of Miquella.
If you travel to the Summit of the Giants and collect the map fragments of the area, you’ll find that an area to the west is still shrouded in mystery – and that’s where we want to access. It is also necessary for those looking to complete Millicent’s quest.
This guide explains how to find and use the left and right halves of the Haligtree secret locket.

Elden Ring Haligtree Secret Medallion right half location
The right half of the Haligtree secret locket is located in the Albinauric Villagewhich is in the southwestern part of Liurnia, the second major critical path area in the Elden Ring story.
Despite what the map looks like, the Albinauric village is tucked under the cliffs, so travel along the shore of the lake from the southeast until you come to a dark cavern with a bridge over it.
The village itself is very dimly lit, so it will be useful to carry a lantern or torch. In either case, the only light source you should be able to see is Grace’s Site in a nearby shack not far from a well.
From this landmark, head east, but follow the cliff to your right and climb an incline until you come across a well-insulated jar, which should also stick out as it looks different from the jars that you may have already encountered.
Hit it and you’ll discover a character called Albus lurking inside. Talk to him and he will give you the right side of the secret Haligtree Medallion, and tell you to show it to someone named Latenna. If you talk to him again after that, he will crumble and turn to dust.
From there, you’re just one step away from getting the Royal Remains armor set.
Except, the following part is not strictly necessarybut if you want to seek Latenna the Albinauric and show her this half medallion, she will show you the location of the other half and get a new invocation in the process.
She can be found with her wolf companion Lobo at Slumbering Wolf’s Shack south of the lake in Liurnia.
To reach this area you will first need to venture through Lakeside Crystal Cave and defeat the Bloodhound Knight.
After defeating this mini-boss, instead of taking the portal back to the entrance, keep going and you’ll exit south to where the cabin is located.
If you reach here without half of the medallion, Latenna will send you away, but show her the correct half and she’ll tell you the other half is in Castle Sol, and even join you as a summonable spirit.
If you haven’t spoken to Latenna, Millicent also mentions Castle Sol containing half of the medallion if you followed her questline and encountered her at the top of the Mountain of Giants.
Elden Ring Haligtree Secret Medallion left half location
If you had spoken to Latenna or Millicent, then you would know that the the left half of Haligtree’s Secret Medallion is located in Castle Sol, at the top of Giant’s Mountain.
You won’t be able to reach this area until you defeat Morgott the Omen King in Leyndell, Royal Capital.
This also means that you will need to use Rold’s Great Elevator at least once to reach this endgame region before you can use the secret medallion on the same elevator later.
You can see the location of Castle Sol on the map in the images below:
The castle is in the north of the region. From the Grace site of Freezing Lake, head north away from the lake and follow a path west through what is essentially a large graveyard.
You can ignore the giant skeleton enemies rising from the ground, although you will also see a path to your left that will take you to a minor Erdtree where you can fight an Erdtree avatar for crystal tears.
Otherwise, continue west until you reach a point where you can safely descend to lower ground to the north before heading east again towards Castle Sol.
When you drop down to this area, you’ll also be attacked by a difficult world boss called Death Rite Bird, but you can ignore this Torrent encounter and keep rolling east.
After passing a walking mausoleum, you’ll reach Castle Sol with a Grace Site just outside the main gate.
There’s only one other grace site inside the castle before you reach the fort’s very tough boss, Commander Niall, whom you must defeat to reach the other half of the medallion.
It’s actually better to continue using the main gate grace site after taking an elevator just outside the boss fog rather than the one from the eclipse church inside.
While in both cases you will have to run past annoying enemies, the former will not follow you into the elevator, while the latter will chase you to the wall of fog.
If you summon a spirit for this fight, it may get distracted and fight all enemies behind the fog wall.
Given the strength of Niall, who also summons two spirit knights, then becomes even more powerful when defeated, summoning a spirit or player is highly recommended for this fight.
Once Niall is down, touch the Grace site that appears then go through the entrance past a dungeon.
Enter and ride the elevator, then follow the steps to the top where you’ll find a kneeling specter next to the left half of Haligtree’s Secret Medallion.
Once you’ve chosen a starting class and a starting souvenir item, you first need to figure out how to level up, how to respec, and how to use Ashes of War. Need direction from there? Try to find Golden Seeds, Holy Tears, Crystal Tears, Talismans, and some of our top early weapon and armor picks. If you’re nearing the end of the game, we can help you with the Haligtree Secret Medallion locations, the Millicent quest, and defeating the toughest bosses including Commander Niall, Morgott, Godskin Duo, Maliketh, and Malenia.
How to Use Haligree Secret Medallion in Elden Ring
As you will need to have already passed the Forbidden Lands to reach Rold’s Great Elevator which takes you to the Summit of the Giants while searching for the second half of the Secret Medallion of Haligtree, you should have no problem quickly returning to its location. -go to the nearby Grace site.
Once you approach the large elevator, you will be prompted to hoist your usual medallion. If you have both halves of the Haligtree Secret Medallion, you’ll have the option to switch actions by pressing left or right.leaving you the choice to hoist the secret medallion.
Do that and a cutscene will play, taking you to a new location. You’ll come to a fairly dark and hostile area, but feel free to push past the enemies and head for the surface, with a site of grace welcoming you into the consecrated snowfield.
Congratulations and good luck!
