THE Ruins of Laskyar in Elden Ring are one of the first areas south of Liurnia.
There we find a teleport to the entrance of the Elden Ring Academy, but without a key we can’t get in. Luckily, we have a map to help us.
With that in mind, here is our Elden Ring Laskyar Ruins Walkthrough.

Elden Ring Laskyar Ruins Walkthrough
The flooded area before us is very large, as a glance at the map confirms. Towards the northwest, it is extremely wide.
Additionally, a larger, spider-like enemy emerges from the ground directly in front of the ruins with a teleport that drops you in front of the Raya Lucaria Academy gate, much further northwest, with a locked door with glowing runes in the background.
Look for this useful teleporter in the Laskyar Ruins (another such portal with the same destination can be found in the Purified Ruins of Eastern Liurnia):
The long, direct route here passes through the Academy Gate (see below).
The meeting point map
Activate the Grace Site “South Raya Lucaria Gate” and borrow the meeting point map from the corpse in front of the gate.
We have now reached the door secured by the protective runes, which can only be opened with a Glintstone key. The wizard Thops spoke about it in the church of Irith (we can find a second key later at the academy and give it to him; he will not accept the first one).
It seems that the man who possessed the map was looking for such a key. You will find the scroll in your inventory under “Info”.
Glintstone Key Location for Academy
In blue is an island northwest of the Academy Gate City. If you haven’t explored much off the beaten path yet, you may still be missing the map fragment for this part of the game world. But that doesn’t matter.
Now, let’s get to the Glintstone Key for the Academy. Head back to the Laskyar Ruins. Head northwest again, but this time follow the light blue lanterns. At the point where the map merges with the gray area, you’ll find a Birdseye telescope. Let’s take a look.
Retrieve the necklace
In the ruins ahead, you meet a young woman named Rya who has had a necklace stolen. She asks for help. The villain responsible, she says, is staying in an “abandoned house at the end of the road.” This is the Black Watch in the crab-cooking shack northwest of here, where you can buy the pendant for 1000 runesYou will then receive an invitation from Rya’s Volcano Manor.
Head straight west from the lady to discover Grace’s next location, “Scenic Isle”, on a hill. Patches will also appear here if you started her quest in Murkwater Cave and spared her in combat.
From here, the Guiding Grace points to the Erdtree to the north/northeast. Head that way and orient yourself again using the lanterns. You’ll soon come across a huge enemy rising from the ground.
Fight the beast using your mount to make the fight easier. The best opportunity to attack is after it has made its jump and its scissors are planted in the ground. A tough guy.
Further northeast, another one of this kind awaits you. Behind it, you will discover the next Grace Site ‘Academy Gate Town’ and the map of Liurnia, North on the stone monument next to it.
Finally, the orientation is easier again and we can make out the small island on the map found with the meeting point.
Take your time and look for the meeting point on the map. According to the scroll you found, it is on an island west of the academy grounds. The same goes for the academy key.
This is exactly the point:
We don’t even have to go through the Academy Gate to get there. If you want, just walk past the ruins.
Just keep driving northwest past the academy and you’ll come across the temple district.
At the northwest end of the Temple District (see map above), there is also a Grace Site that we badly need. The rendezvous point is guarded by the Sparklestone Dragon Smarag (you don’t need to defeat him to get the Sparklestone Key, but we do it anyway).
Once you have retrieved the key, teleport or go through the Academy gate.
