THE Murkwater Cave at Elden Ring is a place in Limgrave.
This cave isn’t one of the largest you’ll find in Elden Ring. In fact, it only consists of two main passages. However, you’ll have to make your way inside, and once inside, you’ll have a familiar face waiting for you at the end.
here is our Elden Ring Murkwater Cave Tourincluding how to beat patches in murkwater cave.

Elden Ring Murkwater Cave Tour
You will find it near the ruins burned by the dragon. Here is its location on the map:
The first passage through the cave is blocked by a fog at the entrance and the NPC Nerijus Bloodfinger enters your game. Depending on when you arrive here, he may well pose a challenge.
(Yura comes to your aid in the fight, but he takes a bit of time, see Yura’s quest).
He drops the Reduvia Dagger when you kill him, and the cave becomes accessible again.
The interior is secured by small bells that act as an alarm system, at ankle height, and that can be triggered when one passes through the chains. The sounds startle the inhabitants of the cave.
The cave is not big, just two passages. The one on the left ends with a treasure chest with 5x MushroomsThe one on the right leads to the fog wall and therefore to the boss.
Behind the door there is only a box and nothing else. Open it, there is only one Fabric clothing And Fabric pants inside. It belongs to an old acquaintance.
How to Beat the Patches in Murkwater Cave in Elden Ring
Patches is not to be missed in Elden Ring. He jumps towards you from the ledge and starts a solid boss fight.
Since he can be a very early boss, his attacks sometimes require a lot of stamina when blocking, especially the jump attack and especially the kick.
The kick really sucks. It goes through your shield and your entire stamina bar and stuns you briefly. Patches is clever enough to exploit this gap and spear you. If your health bar gets too short, it’s over.
You can block a spear strike, but not the kick, dammit. Otherwise, circle around him and try to stab him in the back. Or counter defensively after his strike.
Patches doesn’t really have any fancy animations and gives you plenty of opportunities. Sometimes he’ll spit a red cloud at you, but you don’t even have to hurry to escape him.
Shortly before he falls, Patches begs you for mercy and asks you to spare him. He is rewarded with a Golden Rune (1)
He explains that as a raider he has a very hard life, etc. The Patches shop is open once you return after resting at the Grace site.
Patches is now available here as a reseller and offers many deals that are not available everywhere. For example:
- Margit’s necklace: 5000 runes
- Sword Stone Key: 5000 runes
- Missionary Cookbook 2: 800 runes
- Sacrificial Twig: 5000 runes
He then continues on his way and we find him again at Grace’s site “Scenic Isle” in Liurnia. He then heads towards Volcano Manor.
