There are, however, many challenges (and important elements) along the way, so here are how to get to Noksstella, the Eternal City in Elden Ring in one piece.

On this page:

Explore the main Ainsel river

Starting from the grace site “Ainsel River Main”, you will find directly on the left 3x magic grease in the ruins. On the right, there is also a Nox Swordstress riding a giant ant. Next to him he grows 1x Ghost Glovewort (7).

In the central ruins, kill the two Nox monks and loot 2x Holy Grease drawstring And 1x forge stone (6) two.

Enter the ruins of Uhl Palace

Once you have all these items, follow the course of the river westward, through the ruins of Uhl Palace. You will see more snails on the right, next to which you will find 1x forge stone (6).

The area by the water is heavily guarded by numerous Silver Tears, which will explode in a flash upon death. Fortunately, they will also harm their companions and the ant with the rider who is also nearby.

As soon as things are calm here, you can explore the surrounding area. There is 1x Golden Rune (10), 2x Ghost Glovewort (8) And 1x Ghost Glovewort (7) on the left bank of the river. Continue west through ankle-deep water.

On the left, under the roof, other Silver Tears guard a corpse with 1x Darkforge Stone (7).

Just ahead to the north, kill three more giant ants to find a body on the cliffs as a reward, which contains 1x Stone Sword Key. There is also a Gold Seed at the top in the next section).

Reach the grace site of the Noksstella waterfall basin

In the building to the southwest you will find an elevator that will take you to the next Grace site “Noksstella waterfall basin”. Go back up, first completing the area you came from.

To the right of the building with the elevator, other Silver Tears have taken up residence and are guarding a corpse with 1x heavenly dew.

There is also 1x Ghost Glovewort (8) in the water, and to the northwest you will find two giant-headed ants, but you can leave them to the left. They don’t keep anything important.

This sums up the right side of Noksstella and everything that happens by the water. In the next section, we’ll show you the buildings and stairs on the left side of the area.

Explore the east side of Noksstella

Starting from the grace site “Nokstella, Eternal City”, continue until you reach the Gold Seed at the end of the area.

Go up the stairs to the west directly behind the grace site. After the first few steps, you can enter a building on the left to kill a Nox Swordstress. The ornate treasure chest in the right corner can be opened to reveal a Ant Skull Plate.

Follow the stairs higher, recover 1x fan dagger on the railing to the right, and a group of Silver Tears will come towards you. With any luck, you’ll only have to kill one before its lightning blast takes out the others.

At the top of the stairs you can go around the left building and find the Archer’s Ashes on the right at the end of the path. The building is also accessible and contains many Silver Tears who protect themselves with shields and attack with spears. Once you have them removed you can take the Ghost Word Picker Bell Bearing (2) from the treasure chest.

Leave the building and continue north, where a tear will fall on your head next to the object near the corpse – 1x Golden Rune (10).

To the left you can enter the building through an open window and discover another treasure chest with a 1x Darkforge Stone (7).

Continue along the path outside to find another one. 1x Golden Rune (10) on the railing to the right, and branch off the path at the end of the stairs to the west.

In the building on the left, you can sacrifice a Stone Sword Key into an Imp Statue, but be prepared for the silver sphere coming from the right to attack. It’s worth killing it, as it will drop a Larval tear on defeat.

Once that’s taken care of, the room you just opened with the Stonesword key has two Nox Monks inside, who you’ll need to defeat to make your way to a treasure chest containing the Nightmaiden and Swordstress puppet ashes.

Now cross the bridge from where the Silver Sphere rolled over you. Before the end you will find a corpse with 1x Golden Rune (10). Here the path forks again. First, enter the open building on the right side, but be very careful, because a silver sphere will appear behind you. The doors only open again when defeated. He leaves behind him a Larval tearand a treasure chest with 1x Greater Ghost Glovewort.

All that remains is to go up the stairs to the west. On the railing to the left you will find another one 1x Golden Rune (10)and at the end of the steps another building that you can enter.

However, before entering, follow the path to the right to the east, where you can recover 1x forge stone (6) to the left of the locked building.

Now, enter the building – again, with extreme caution – as piles of tears and silver spheres will fall from the ceiling. Most of them, however, should be killed by the lightning blast in a chain reaction. Be careful with the sphere, which leaves behind another Larva Tear, and loot the treasure chest, as it contains 1x Darkforge Stone (7).

To the left, cross another bridge to the west and go up the stairs, where a Teardrop Scarab will drop another. 1x Darkforge Stone (6).

The building at the top of the stairs is a church where you must defeat two more Silver Tears. They transform into stand-up fighters and should not be taken lightly.

Then defeat the monk Nox and take the Noksstella Moon Talisman decorated treasure chest. This talisman will increase your memory slots by 2, making it an essential choice for players with magical builds.

Then continue behind the left exit. You will come to an elevator, which in turn is connected to the Noksstella area. Remove it and collect it Gold Seed (which you could already see from below) and go down. This area is now almost completely explored, so there is only a little way left to go.

Finally, we turn our attention to the second staircase behind the Grace Site “Nokstella, Eternal City” (located to the left of the river with many Silver Tears), which we have not yet explored. Go here and you will come to a room with a monk and a treasure chest with a Ghost Glove (9) inside.

That’s all for this section. Fast travel to Grace site “Noksstella waterfall basin”. On the rock wall to the northeast, we find 1x Ghost Glovewort (9)then continue through the tunnels along the river.

Defeat Baleful Shadow to continue Ranni’s quest.

There are basilisks here that spray deadly black smoke that will kill you instantly if you stay in them for too long. Collect 1x forge stone (4) And 1x forge stone (5) and continue into the area behind.

You will find the NPC called baleful shadow here – an enemy you’ll need to defeat as part of Ranni’s quest – but this guy isn’t the easy type, so don’t take him lightly. Once defeated, you will receive the Abandoned Palace Keyfor use in the Raya Lucaria Great Library, where Rennala is located.
