It’s a big week for fall guys – it’s going free and should launch on Xbox and Nintendo Switch at the same time.
The new season of Fall Guys is rightly named Season 1: Free for all. This is something of a reset, introducing a new currency and Seas on Pass for players to enjoy.
To help you stay up to date when Fall Guys launches into a free-to-play model, below is everything you need to know about the new season, from how the new currency works to ways you can earn rewards through at pre-registration.

Fall Guys free-to-play, Xbox and Switch release date estimate
Fall Guys Season 1: Free For All has a June 21 release date on PlayStation, Xbox, PC and Nintendo Switch. That’s when the game will go free-to-play and see the release of a bunch of new content, as well as tweaks to existing systems.
Although the exact time for the free launch of Fall Guys has yet to be announced by developer Mediatonic, the in-game counter for the end of the current season is as follows:
- UK: 1:00 p.m. (BST / UK)
- Europe: 2 p.m. (CEST / Western Europe)
- US East Coast: 8:00 a.m. (EST / US East Coast)
- US West Coast: 5:00 a.m. (PST / US West Coast)
This corresponds to previous updates, such as hotfixes or larger updates adding things like Jump Showdown, where Fall Guys tends to update in the afternoon UK time.
Of course, they might choose a different time for such an important update – and we’ll update this page when an official confirmation arrives.
What’s new in Season 1: Free for All?
To match its release on Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and the Epic Games Store, Fall Guys is going through a reset. This means that the new season is actually season 1: free for everyone. There’s a lot of new content, as well as a few changes to how things like currency and season passes work.
Here’s what you can expect:
- New platforms: Fall Guys will launch on Nintendo Switch, Epic Games Store and Xbox on June 21. The game will also be removed from the Steam listing from that date, but existing players will not be affected.
- Season 1: Free for all: The game will become free. Cross-platform play and progression will also go into effect, allowing you to play with players on other platforms
- PS5 Edition: Launching June 21, with faster loading times and performance improvements on the way.
- Legacy Bundle: For players who launch Fall Guys before June 21, this includes a nickname, nameplate, Regal costume, Veggie Dog costume, Feisty Dwarf costume – and the Season Pass for Season 1!
- Show dollars, new currency that can be used to purchase the Season Pass
- Pre-registered rewards, for players who wish to pre-register for the new season. You will get a bunch of exclusive rewards.
