How to open the command console in Fallout 4?
To enter cheats in Fallout 4, you will need to access the command console. This seems to be easy, but it’s different on different keyboards. If you are using a UK keyboard you will need to press the button apostrophe key (‘)and if you are using an American keyboard you will have to press the key backtick key (`) at the top left next to the 1 key. Press the correct key and the console will appear in the lower left corner.
Fallout 4 Character Tips
Here are the different commands you can play with to give your Fallout 4 character a serious edge in combat:
- them – activates God mode.
- Tim – activates Immortal mode.
- player.setav speedmult [value] – change the value to increase your character’s movement speed until it’s completely impractical.
- set scale [value] – increases the size of your character.
- sex change – changes the gender of your character.
- tdetect – prevents AI characters from knowing you exist.
- player.setrace [name of race] – changes your race.
- player.resethealth – resets your health.
- fJumpHeightMin parameters [value] – changes your jump height.
- player.setlevel [value] – changes your character’s level as you wish.
Fallout 4 Environmental Tips
An assortment of environmental modifications can be made with the following commands.
- tfc – activates a camera in freedom, if you want to have a better view of the environment.
- CSB – resets all effects.
- tcl – disables collisions in the game, allowing you to pass through walls and objects that you wouldn’t be able to pass through otherwise.
- set a time scale on [value] – Normal time is 4 p.m., but you can choose between 1 and 10,000.
- SetCameraFOV Third-person field of view – Adjust the field of view to a third person.
- SetCameraFOV First person field of view – Adjust the field of view to first person.
- tm 1 – activates all Pip Boy map markers.
- tm – this disables all aspects of the UI, including the console. You have been warned!
- open – opens doors, safes and terminals.
- Enable – activates elements normally controlled by a switch.

Fallout 4 Combat Tips
Cheat your way to victory with the following kill and fight oriented console commands in Fallout 4.
- This – activate it separately of-activates all of the game’s AI and forces everyone to stand there and do nothing. Good job if you can get it.
- tcai – as above, except this command disables AI combat in the game.
- kill all – unsurprisingly, this command will kill all living beings in the immediate vicinity, with the exception of your companions who will nevertheless need a stimpack shot to bring them back to – meaningful life.
- kill [NPC name] – provide an NPC’s ID, and this command will kill him to death.
- resurrect [NPC name] – the opposite of the one above. Sorry about that!
Fallout 4 Inventory Tips
Here’s how to add items to your inventory without having to worry about finding them.
- player.additem f [quantity] – replace the value of [quantity] with the number of free capsules you want.
