Power down the control panels inside Command Cavern is one of the Resistance challenges in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2.
You will first need to patch The Imagined into a speaker and collect the Doomsday Control Keys before unlocking this week 10 challenge.
Completing this challenge will reward you with 23k XP, which will help you unlock new battle pass skins.
Control Panel Locations in Fortnite
Before you start looking for control panels, you must first uplink a device outside of Command Cavern.
Once you’ve uplinked the device, it’s time to power down the control panels inside Command Cavern.
Even though control panels appear as icons on your minimap when you approach them, you might have a hard time spotting one. This is due to the fact Command Cavern’s three control panels are located inside the vents.
You can find the first control panel by climb the first set of stairs near the south entrance to Command Cavern and turn right. Enter the vent in the corner of this room, near some lockers, and through the next vent opening opposite.
To sever the control panel, simply damage it with your pickaxe or pistol.
The second control panel is located by a vent located near the water, west of the south entrance to Command Cavern.
Look for the vent near some yellow canisters by the water, then climb through it and look for the vent door with boxes behind it. Go through and hit the control panel on the wall to cut off its power.
Chapter 3 Season 2 is here! New additions include the Prowler skin, as well as the return of jetpacks and Choppas. As we enter the final month of Season 2, it’s a good idea to know how to get XP fast in Fortnite. You can also complete resistance challenges, including collecting signal jammers and finding an energy fluctuation. Don’t forget the seasonal challenges, which include planting saplings and calling in an airstrike on a tank. The third and final control panel is located in the northwest area inside Command Cavern. Swim in the water and jump on the dock to find the vent under a nearby staircase.
Go through the vent, then look right for the vent door with some furniture behind it. Hit the control panel with your pickaxe or weapon next to the slurp barrels to cut the power and complete this challenge for 23k XP.
