The grappling glove is a new element added to Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 which allows you to quickly cross the island.
The item is very similar to the web-shooters available in previous seasons of Fortnite, with some modifications.
Below is a list and map of Grapple locationsand how to use grapple gun in fortnite.

Fortnite Grapple Gloves Locations
You can get a Grapple Glove by eliminating an enemy player with one in their inventory, or by finding one of the 10 Grapple Glove slots in Fortnite.
Grapple Gloves are found in special pink toolboxes under pink grappling hook stops, which look like cranes.
These grapple stops are located:
- Northeast of Condo Canyon
- North of Synapse Station
- Southwest of Greasy Grove
- North of Rocky Reels
- East of the Tilted Towers
- Between the Eastern Isles above the Jonses
- East of the Daily Bugle
- East of Shifty Shafts
- Northwest of Logjam Lumberyard
- Inside Rave Cave
Each grapple stop contains several pink toolboxes, but you can only pick up one grapple glove at a time.
Still, the multiple spawns come in handy if you find a grapple gauntlet slot while playing in a squad, or if an enemy player gets to a grapple stop before you do.
While you can only pick up one grappling hook glove, the pink boxes that hold them are also a source of ammo loot, so be sure to open them up if your guns are a bit low on ammo.
Chapter 3 Season 3 has arrived – bringing with it a new Battle Pass, Character Collection, Map Slots, and Victory Umbrella! You can now ride animals, find Reality Seeds across the island, and Victory Crowns are back. If you’re looking for a specific Battle Pass skin, it’s a good idea to know how to get XP fast.
How to Use the Grapple Glove in Fortnite
To use the grapple gun in Fortnite, go to it in your inventory, then aim where you want to swing and hold the same input you use to fire weapons. This will propel you to your marked location, and you can line up another shot while swinging to continue using the grappling hook until you run out of “ammo” or reach your destination.
You can’t grab onto every piece of the environment, so watch out for the white circle that appears indicating where you’re allowed to grapple.
Don’t worry if you hit the ground while swinging, because you’ll keep moving as long as you have some momentum. You can even continue to swing after landing on the ground if you grab onto something within seconds.
When you’ve finished swinging or been on the ground for too long, the grapple gauntlet will enter a cooldown period. The longer you use the grappling hook, the longer the cooldown will be.
You can only hold one grappling hook glove at a time, and you can no longer pick up “ammo” if you find another one. You will only have to let go of the one you have to pick up another grappling hook.
As well as being a useful tool for traveling long distances on the island, the Grapple Glove can be used to pick up loot from afar or in hard-to-reach places. You can do this as often as you want, as there is no cooldown period.
