The mysterious Herald was hinted at during the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 trailer – where they were seen spying on the island – but now they’ve arrived and are already causing trouble. The question, however, is what or who are they announcing?

Fortnite Herald skin release date and time
According to the in-game countdown, The Herald skin will release on Thursday, November 3.
As of this writing, we don’t know the exact release time for The Herald, but it’s safe to assume it will be available when the Daily Challenges reset.
This is often when new features or changes are implemented in Fortnite and the timing is as follows:
- UK – 2pm (GMT)
- Europe – 3:00 p.m. (CET)
- United States East Coast – 9:00 a.m. (EST)
- US West Coast – 6pm (PST)
It is important to note that Fortnite has a habit of releasing these special skins a little earlier than expected in the game. The Cube Queen skin, for example, was released during the good week, but on a Tuesday instead of on a Thursday. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you keep an eye on The Heralds dedicated page as its release date approaches.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 is almost here! Before that, make sure you get all the remaining Battle Pass rewards you want, unlock the Indiana Jones skin (give yourself plenty of time to solve the secret door outside the main chamber in the Shuffled Shrines puzzle!), and make sure you you to spend those gold bars. While we can’t unlock The Herald skin in Fortnite just yet, we can take a look at four of their cosmetic items. There are five more – one of which might be an alternate style for The Herald – but they’re still sub-envelopes.

- The Herald – banner icon
- The Herald’s Leer – Spray
How to unlock The Herald skin in Fortnite?
As of this writing, we don’t know what it will take to unlock The Herald skin and its associated cosmetic items in Fortnite, but it will most likely involve completing a series of challenges.
Since the rewards are split across two pages, you’ll likely need to complete all of the challenges on the first page to unlock the second. This method has become a staple of special skin rewards, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see it return this season.
The above is, of course, speculation – you never know, we might unlock The Herald by collecting 100 glowing orbs on the island in one match. (I really hope not.)
